check out the bollocks he talks at the end softstep is nothing like soundhack wtf is a :sound bridge morphing module: "you’re doing things to sound that just aren’t physically possible." wtf
about Symbolic Composer`It’s like composing music from one’s DNA structure", it DOES have functions to use genome stuff in compositions but i cant see the comparison,i think hes confused
SoundHack "convulse" LOL i think he means convolve
haha A+ student :D

I've not heard his music, but from that interview it sounds like he's played around a lot with his instruments and so on..
the same program names kept popping up that aphex uses, to me it sounds like he's researched what aphex twin uses, and copied his path.. bit wierd.
I don't know.. I've seen that video on NI, with him playing about on his laptop..not really my taste.

10-6 angry rant
I have read a number of richard devine interviews, and met him in person, and when you talk to him he doesn't come across as being a douchebag or whatnot, he comes across as a nice guy who just happens to make cool music. In interviews, he comes across as being that way, because that is the way he markets himself. Reguardless of what kind of music you make, you need to do a certain ammount of self marketing and part of that is portraying and image. Its the way the music business was set up, and the way it works, and I wish people would just grow up and accept it instead of whining and bitching every time someone gets a little bit of attention for what they are doing.
Or you could punter around blithering on about stupid shit like a 16 year old non-conformist retard who is always "keeping it real" and "sticking it to the man" for the rest of your life. Those kind of people aren't cool. They end up needing to pick 15 year old girls when they are 35 because those are the only kind of people who will listen to their bullshit and take it seriously.
10-8 angry rant

Yes he is. This is the last thing I am going to say in this topic, just because I hate adding to these kind of discussions, but
1) he is part of that. It doesn't matter to what scale the person sells records. They are in the music business, and every single one of these "IDM superstars" have an image that they have crafted and use to sell their records.
2) native instruments cater their software towards people that are impressed with the kind of talk that richard devine uses. Thats why they choose musicians like richard devine to endorse their software.
