I love how the beat changes its pattern so abruptly at the
end of each measure. First time I heard it I was amazed. Of
course, that's also because RDJ album was my first venture
into the world of electronic music.

Anyway, now and then I pester friends with it, asking them
to tap the beat along. They never get it right whatsoever
and then I proceed to laugh ceaselessly til they walk out
the door.

Anyone else like to annoy other people with your oh so weird
music collection?

how the fuck are your friends not able to tap a standard
4/4?

Indulge me will you. It's nothing to do with the 4/4
measure, that's the whole beauty of it. The way the beats
are programmed is misleading and abrupt. But oh well perhaps
I'm the only one that hears this and my friends are indeed
incapable of tapping along out of sheer stupidity.

wow you're an arrogant prick.

the song is in 4/4 time. so what, some of the
rhythm notes are syncopated.. doesn't mean it's necessarily
in another time signature.

it's in 4/4.

oh right. i misinterpreted that, apologies. but still, i'm
surprised your friends aren't able to grasp syncopation. and
i'm surprised by your reaction to them, and the fact that
you're boasting about it on this board.

maybe they too, in turn, misinterpreted your request for
them to tap the beat - maybe they're trying to tap the
actual rhythm instead of the 4/4 beat.

yes you mongrel that was what I asked them to do.

Sorry for my lack of knowledge of musical terms you utter
titster. I know better than to boast about any of my
supposed musical skills.

Besides I thought I put enough winks in that first post you

well... Bodes no good for tomorrow's electronic musician...

hope you gave them a few listens of the song first.

which is weird.

did you expect someone to be able to tap the drums from the
song just intuitively? I can't even tap the drums on songs I
made myself let alone songs other people've made.. it's hard
remembering how a drumline goes throughout one entire song
unless you are a drummer and you've been practicing that
drumline...

OMG

The thing I like about this song is that it sounds simple
(the rhythm) but it is in fact NOT. I used exaggeration in
my first post. I do not pester my friends.

You're taking this far too serious for someone who's
tittyslapping herself :/

for me RDJ album is to afx what LP5 is to ae,
theyve done better tracks later,
but they never got to create such an unique and amazing
sound and space... 2 of the (or even) the 2 - best albums of
he 90s for me...

and btw, stop bumping old threads where i can read my past
me! i hate it
