The two greatest electronic artists ever to not be Richard D. James. In my opinion.
Who do you like better? You can discuss the merits of each artist in respect with the other one. Right now its virtually impossible to say.
Mike's melodies are amazing, and Tom has never really been able to produce anything as beautiful as some of the tracks especially off albums like Lunatic Harness. On the other hand, squarepusher's drum and snare rush's make Mike's look like they could have been made with fruityloops.
Currently, I've been listening to Squarepusher more, Big Loada is too good. We have to see what Paradinas comes out with next.
Please don't comment if you aren't really familiar with both artists (sorry).

Squarepusher. U-ziq is really fucking good as well, though. I don't know they're both great. Can't really compare the two, I suppose. They come at music from different directions. What is it with everyone on this board wanting to compare artists?? It's ALL good!!!! :D

I didn't say which is better, I asked who do you like better. Isn't having preferences and discussing the quality of artists' music a lot of what this message board and all online electronic music discussion about?

Personally, squarepusher easily. Even if it was afx vs squarepusher i would still say squarepusher. Hes amazing, the snare rushes, the inane basslines, he really does it for me.
Rant over.

the only thing i've really heard by µ-ziq is royal astronomy, so i don't really have enough evidence to back my judgement.
well, even if i was more exposed to µ-ziq, i still don't understand the need for competition.

I'd bring my re-issued double album of Tango n' Vectif to that deserted island of yours.
I prefer µ-ziq for sure, though squarepusher is obviously amazing too. I think µ-ziq is the "nicer", more enjoyable of the two, whereas Squarepusher has a few amazing "adrenalin rushes" Mike P. wouldn't be capable of creating.
well whatever. both are great.

Suprising responses. I don't thin Mu-ziq is any where near the territory that Squarepusher is in. I think Squarepusher's sounds make Mu-ziq seem like one of those "IDM" site ring at home fruityloops artists. For me AFX and Squarepusher are in a different space and Mu-ziq is kind of trailing along trying to figure it out.

µ-Ziq, in fact not even RDJ can do some of the things Squarepusher can do with drums,
Squarepusher does with drums the equivalent of what BoC does with their melodies...perfection. µ-ziq's drill is somewhat mediocre after listening to Squarepusher

squarepusher. u-ziq has some really nice stuff (lunatic harness), but tom IS fucking mad, and i thikn his melodies (esp. on big loada) are wicked, as is the spastic bass playing.
and as for go plastic - it's just fucking mental. i thikn tom beats afx too.
and in a fist fight i think tom would easily beat the shit out of mike p.
again, just my opinion tho.

I love Mike's work but how can you say this? have you not heard tracks like 'massif', 'iambic' or 'theme from ernest borgnine'?
Paradina's himself said he was majorly influenced by toms work....but hasty boom alert is a classic

although i love µ-ziq...ill have to say squarepusher...µ-ziq's melodies are really lush...and his beats can be pretty cool at times...but his stuff doesnt quite have the emotional depth that squarepusher's does for me
mikeP's best stuff is like a really spectacular view of mountains or whatever...where youre struck at how gorgeous everything is...but in the end its just really pretty..
where sp's is more introspective..the beautiful bits are more personal...i dunno...maybe i just relate better to the moods in sp's stuff..it just sticks with me more
having said that...approaching menace is still one of the best drill tracks ever made
...and hasty boom alert is one of the most beautiful "views" ive ever heard

i was introduced to µ-ziq´s work last month. i must admit, i can´t stop listening to Lunatic Harness and Royal Astronomy, and though his drilling is a bit basic, combined with his melodies just does it for me. i only wished that there were more melodies (even in the background) in a great album such as Go Plastic. Tom is king in drilling, no doubt about it, but........i´ll go with Paradinas on this one.

Get Tango N' Vectif by µ-ziq.
Lunatic Harness is a darn good album. Royal Astronomy is very good too, the song goodbye, goodbye is outstanding.
And if you have access to a file Sharing program get µ-ziq-Whale Soup.
