well, i said it was a quick count. plus i wasn't counting
the keynell remixes or that mari hamada track. or the neu
one. so there probably is closer to 50. hurrah. and i think
i have them all. on cd or in flac. the exclusive compilation
tracks are harder to track down in decent quality.

A lot of excellent mixes. I'm glad Tolstoyed have seen the
light, grown more mature, or whatever ;)

since i keep losing the odd downloaded remix in hard drive
crashes i thought it was about time i just collected them
all together and recorded them to cdr.
now, have i got them all? i know there's a remix of a jimi
tenor track on the radio mix but i don't have a non-mixed
version and i don't think it's released anyway :/, and i
think i'm missing another jello remix. am i missing anything
else?

!

yeah most of the other ones (like the squarepusher/gescom
that are on other albums) i dont keep in my autechre remix
folder. but rather in the actual album it's on,

doubling up flacs is a quick way to eat up hdd space.

a lot of them are good. the v - vliezwei (vliegenbos morning
reproduced by autechre).flac is fantastic!!!

offline xceque on 2006-01-22 17:42 [#01824770]

Well I'm just compiling them together to burn to CD really,
just to keep them together for convenient listening. I have
quite a lot of them as originals so if I were to keep them
and they were taking up too much space I could just delete
those anyway. It's nice to go for completeness though, and
some of them I only got as flac so a good excuse to back
them up.

The Mike Ink remix is my favourite. With the Silvania, Neu!,
Scorn and Seefeel ones coming up tops too.

i must say im still confused a bit. i see people who praise
autechre so much listen to quite dubious music otherwise so
im thinking they're hearing something else :)

Maybe they simply have an outlook that allows them to
forgive what might, in another, unproven artist, be called
decidedly average on the strength that the vast majority of
their output is exceedingly good and original.

the no. 8 [ae2 mix], kruton and saint etienne ones are my
favourites, but so many of them are absolutely great

them, you mean autechre? could you please put 3 or 4 comas
in that sentance, i get lost after two lines :)

Yes, I do belive that is a complete list. The only remix
missing is Lilac, but I suppose that one is meant
to be heard while viewing the visuals.
