Beastie Boys Remix of "Oh, Word?" It's not done yet, but are
the beats "all there"? Thanks.

Oh no. What are you going to do? There's only two
elements! moronicfilter likes the beats but thatne is
calling you an aphex clone for chopping up a break.

I think I shall pull a Squarepusher and just play bass and
then say it's a remix, even though it sounds nothing like
the original. No vocals.

And, I know it's boring, that was just roughly laid out to
give me an idea of where to go.

When there seems to be no way out remember what the A-Team
would do. Put metal on it and drive it out FIRING.

Vocal seemed too low. I liked the beat work. I like it in
general. I would fuck about with the "dint" "dunt" sample a
bit throughout it (effects and shit in places).

I didn't think it was boring, finish it yourself, then post
it. Music by committee is going to end up pleasing no one
including yourself.

As ecnadniarb said, the vocal is too low.

Other than that it's quite good. I'd add a bit more variety
to it though and tone down that screech type sound a lot and
let the drums etc come in more, maybe create a bass line for
it. I'm not getting any bass but then I'm using Monitor
Speakers right now.

It's not awful. I've heard a lot worse.

I still need to add bass, yes. As far as the horn stab goes,
I want to make real long patterns of it being reversed,
time-streched, pitch-altered, and effected. The drums, I'm
pleased with, maybe a few minor variations on it.

The phasmatic sheen on the left channel is slightly off
kilter and there's some frequency clash creating "muff
sound" at some drop zone points, but the basic klatter and
off-pitched counter samples bring it all together.

But I liked it. I like the orchestral stab, like i like it
in "Ch-ch-check it out", the beats are very decent, I've
heard some far fucking worse remixes. I think it's good.

A bit too much acapella at the end.
