i think the point in this all is, that though you can spot
out the difference between loud bits and quiet bits it turns
out that more than one artist uses this ultramodern
technique. Which kinda makes it somewhat of a trick to
identify different songs.

I can successfully identify "battle records" this way. It's
not very hard, or even an uncommon skill among DJs. On one
of my favourite records I can even cue particular samples by
sight (eg, 4th groove of the third scratch sentence on a
side) with around 80% accuracy.
