Regarding Vibes #16

so the deadline has come and gone...did you get enough
tracks?

Nope, I'm quite disappointed. A lot of people promised
tracks and showed a lot of interest and then didn't
deliver.
Credit to those who did, often multiple tracks and a high
quality.

how soon until you put out the vibe?

Not for a while: I'm offering a month's extension.
Partly because of the lack of submissions and partly
because
I am very busy at the moment (Away all week and I crashed
my
bike this morning- don't worry I'm fine, but have to spend
a
lot of time fixing it).

On another note: Perhaps part of the reason there was a
slow
uptake was the difficulty associated with DLing a copy. I
will discuss with the powers that be, the possibility of
hosting a legit copy of Re-birth, if anyone can supply me
with the ISO/zip (I can't bit torrent on this machine),
please post here/email me and we will sort something out.
Many thanks.

but there was already a torrent running - it took about an
hour to download the thing if I remember correctly.

Qrter: Excellent, if the torrent worked fine for you, I take
it you have a working copy? If so, is it okay if I ask Phob
if we can host it on the XLT server for the duration of the
compilation and you can FTP it across?

I know the torrent may work, but a lot of people are in a
similar position to me where they can't use bit torrent,
even though they can DL things (net access at school/work
etc.)

Virginpusher: Nope, just very thick ice & ungritted roads.
:)

The download from the propellerhead site crashed one minute
to finishing each time I tried downloading it, and I didn't
want to track down the old crack on my computer.

Yep, I had that too. They've since replaced it with a bit
torrent of it. It's fine to use cracked versions for this,
if they're easier to acquire (in fact a lot of the cracked
versions don't let you use the mods, so they're idea!) only
reason I wanted a legit copy is if XLT is (possibly) gonna
host it, it has to be the genuine article.

anecdote about crashing your bike was hilaaaarious until I

Why don't you submit a track? If it's half as good as your
