disgraceful ebay seller

this ebayer who says his name is karl and works at city
centre offices records (his account is also named after
them)

as well as selling a hell of a lot of electronica of the
style stocked by baked goods/boomkat/cco - he seems to have
a little line going in selling bootleg mp3 cd's without
permisson.

his lame excuse for this when challanged by some of the
labels/artists he's ripping off is "i love your music so
much i just wanted to share it sorry"

sharing - fine. making ten quid a pop - not fine.

eBay dont seem to want to do anything about this so i urge
you all to contact this fellow and let him know he's
completely out of order. and if, as he claims, he works for
an independent label/distrobutor - he should fucking well
know better.

The people who purchase stuff from this guy seem to think
much different about this.

"All that was left was a kiss. Every move we made was a
kiss..."

Read the item description, "Boards of Canada
Skam..."

At least he's being honest about it :D

you're right, of course. i suggest making a dupe ebay
account and buying everything until he's got the message.
obviously don't bother sending payment. and as it does cost
money to list things, it might put him off.

on another note - seed, is that your account on
audioscrobbler called 'seed'?

i'm wondering why there is no 'report user' option on ebay.
it's grown so fast, the policing of it is quite frankly a
joke. they need to invest in this area before they end up in
court themselves.

Please wait till he has sent me the "Music 70" BoC mp3
collection before commencing any hate campaign that could
lead to him commiting suicide.

Yep, they get a hard-on claiming they are the same legal
entity as an auction house, but they don't seem so keen to
honour their obligations to buyers.
