Side A 30:06
Side B 30:03

a mixtape of mostly skam related stuff with some other bits
thrown in for fun too...

i have some mp3s...just wondering if anybody knows anything
about this or if it's just some mix some fan put together or
if it's really a gescom thing, or maybe just the
"trackstreaming" stuff from the skam sites?

probably this

Gescom / Skam operator Rob Hall delivers the debut
installment in a new series of cd mixtapes brought to you
with loving care from us lot up north. What happened to the
mixtape?? It’s a format that’s been sorely missed round
these parts. The mixtape was a great thing, exposing us to
new music, pointing us in new directions and encapsulating
the sound of a specific time and place. We’ve been working
on the concept for a while and have finally got it together
to bring you the first in a series of mixtapes simply
called.....Boomkat Selected Mixtapes. The first installment
comes to us courtesy of Rob Hall. Recorded live in Tokyo
- July 2000, and originally (and incorrectly) released as a
Gescom liveset on tape, and only availible from rough trade
in tokyo, this is an epic dancefloor set that extends from
electro through to house to techno to electronica and
back...
classic Rob Hall. For those of you fortunate
enough to have caught the Gescom DJ in action, you’ll know
just how tight his mixes are, this being a classic set from
one of the most inspired, meticulous and well respected
DJ’s anywhere in the world today.

There were two Gescom cassettes released in Japan. One of
them is the Rob Hall set and the other one is what inkey is
referring to. From what I can remember it starts with Love
Without Sound by White Noise and there are some Autechre
remixes (East Flatbush Project and Softballetforms), some
Team Doyobi, Aphex, 808 State and a bunch of other stuff.

i've got an old cdr with autechre (gescom?) dj set from
japan, 59:54, it starts with weird sounds then Planet rock,
later the last track off anti ep, then Turquoise hexagon
sun, its really good ; dunno if its the same thing. recorded
from tape i guess.

i got also another cdr with gescom dj in japan, recorded
from tape with "it starts with Love
Without Sound by White Noise and there are some Autechre
remixes (East Flatbush Project and Softballetforms), some
Team Doyobi, Aphex, 808 State and a bunch of other stuff. "

Send all this to Phob for the discog. I'm assuming he'll be
putting liveshow mp3's in for download. At least that's what
it seems to suggest.

its good but its just a dj set, no unreleased trax or
whatever, i dont think its the holy grail either
