mr ryder was on tv the other day. he sounds almost as burnt
out as ozzy.

i think it's worse. because ozzy seems to fake it a bit. not
to
mention he's like 20 years older.

i doubt they will ever tour again as ryder probably has
hard
time remembering his name. he recognizes some riffs here
and
there though :)

I do like it, I had no idea they had a new track out until
the other day. This does sound like vintage Mondays. I was a
huge fan "back in the day", they are part of my musical
youth, and I hope they do well with this. It is good, a lot
better than ramshackle comeback a few years ago.

used to be a massive fan of the happy mondays, when i was at
school.

I'm suprised that its shaun ryder that fried his head
though, i always thought bez was the biggest fuck up out of
these lot.

Got myself a copy of "bummed" on vinyl the other day :)

i thought this thread was going to be something along the
lines of: "uhoh, sounds like somebody's got a case of the
mooooooondays!"

I'll listen to this when I get home........ excited to hear
it described as "vintage Mondays"........

Something a bit sad about the whole affair, however, if I
contrast my feelings about Shaun Ryder now to the way I felt
in the late 80's-early 90's........

Fuckin hell new Mondays! YEAH!

Shaun is wrecked, bless 'im. I don't care I'll fully support
them coz I'm a total fan boy. Even Yes Please had a few good
moments even though the production was kak.

haha, yes, we all seem to be fan boys :) but i really like
this song! the video is a bit flashy, but that's what
singles/vids made to promote a film look like i suppose.

It's a fucking disgrace of a song. Just sounds like some
Black Grape shite. So what if it has shaun ryder on it -
it's not the fucking mondays. At least Ian Brown has the
common sense not to reform the Roses. It has defecated on my
memory of the band.

A girl I know was/maybe still is shagging Mani from the
Stone Roses/Primal Scream.

As a mondays fan since the beginning, I wouldn't begrudge
Shaun making a few quid in any way he could. I think it was
a very brave thing to do, and the results aren't dreadful by
any stretch. Did you see the documentary about Shaun from a
year or so back? He was really up shit creek financially,
doing shit DJ gigs and having every penny he earned snatched
away by lawyers.

The WFL remix was, admittedly, the first Happy Mondays
record I actually bought.
