are awesome!

however, I fear they may be addictive and must caution you
against them. please send all available pistachio nuts to
me, and I will dispose of them in a proper manner.

Me and my bird belive that they are some kind of
"food-crack."

Addictive is the correct description for these bad boys.

I wish I could get high off them.

then I'd make lots of weird tracks on pistachio and then
people would hail me as the new musical genious and I would
have lots of money so I could buy more pistachio nuts. then,
after a while, my career would go down the toilet as I sold
all my "assets" to buy pistachio nuts, and when I later
sober up, I'll have nothing but a casio-keyboard for music
making. I will then re-invent music as we know it and be on
top again, but will then keep my pistachio use at a moderate
level.

watch out! they can get worms in them. and the pink dye
that is sometimes added makes you paranoid.

but pistachios are indeed awesome. fucking awesome,
actually.

Exactly. You got to know what you are doing when you get
involved with a pistachio bender.

Always make sure that you have a friend around who isn't
doing any, just to keep an eye on things. You can get so
pistachio'd off your tits, it is possible to harm yourself.

Be careful, brother.

But anyway, I like to inject smack straight into my eyeballs
after a big pistachio bender, it helps to ease the comedown.

thanks for both the tips! I'll remember that the next
time... I already chewed my foot off in a pistachio high,
so...

in the united states pistachios were traditionally dyed
bright pink/red in the shell, which would then get all over
your fingers and lips when you cracked the shell and ate the
nut. i guess i'm not surprised that this is not the common
practice elsewhere, and actually most pistachios in the us
these days are, i think, not dyed.

thus concludes pistachio history corner. thanks for your
patronage.

also, did you know that if you force yourself to vomit the
pistachios you've already eaten, you can free up space in
your stomach to allow for more pistachios?

save on gourmet bulk nuts.

"food crack" is exactly right - just like chocolate covered
pretzels - you sit down with a bag to have a few, look down
a few minutes later and youve chewed through the whole
fuckin deal

same time...

I thought pink was salted and white was something else.

Pink is dangerous because i remember when i was young having
pink fingers and having to wipe them on my socks thus making
them pink.

A local bar has Jalapenio Pistachio Nuts. Fairly good

it was essentially a marketing strategy to grab people's
attention, believe me the pistachios stood out when you'd
see a large bin of them or a coin-operated machine full of
them. they are usually still in the shell when sold here,
so you don't see a lot of green, mostly the tan shell.

it's not uncommon to dye other foods bright colors in other
countries. don't they have any brightly colored food in
norway? tikka masala? orange soda?

that's what we in the pistachio world call a "pistachio
myth."

they're still in the shell here too... I don't think we have
things that are dyed to be a different color from
what it's supposed to be, though.. orange soda is dyed
orange, not blue... denmark has these excessively red
sausages... they're like signal red... of course, I haven't
really looked into it all that much, but.. pink pistachio
nuts would throw me off a bit...

coating pistachio nuts in nougat. will report back on the
results.

I also just got this idea that it could work with eggs and
bacon...

(even if jalapeños aren't really strong are they...)

i had never heard of this pink dye thing, sounds pretty

too.

poly-unsaturated fats, they're the olive oil of the nut
world.

Its a conspiracy. Beleive me. I have been long fighting the
war against nuts, seeing as I am alergic.

I have traced it back to covert government agencies that are
partly subsidized by this agency.

Its a very dark time for our world.
