To embark on your journey for the source of this image, you
must first answer the following riddle correctly:

If source of picture shall ye seek
a google image search you should peek
what text should you type into it?

pistachios are amazing. addictive. and very fattening (sp?)

as far as the american view of the colors of pistachios,
i've only seen red in .25 vending machines and at stores
they are usually how they are born but covered in salt.

i remember many a days of getting high and devouring
pistachios.

probably why i am a bit of a tubbo now.

Some fun pistachio facts for you to chew on:

Pistachio is not a nut but rather the seed of a thin-shelled
drupe.
Pistachio has a very characteristic flavour.
Pistachio was originally dyed red to hide stains on shells
caused when they were picked by hand.
Pistachio is highly flammable when stored in large
quantities.
Pistachio is prone to self heating and spontaneous
combustion.
Lovers who stand under pistachio tree and hear seeds pop
will have good luck (not really true).

If you like pistachio icecream you might also want to try
baklava. It tastes different, but it is still very good.

There is a soup recipe I've been wanting to try that
involves pistachios and cashews. It's called Mulligatawny
and comes from India.

Mixed nut deliciousness ranking:
1. Pecan
2. Cashew
3. Brazil
4. Round hard ones
5. Peanut
*Pistachio would be 1 or 2.
