pistachios are amazing. addictive. and very fattening (sp?) as far as the american view of the colors of pistachios, i've only seen red in .25 vending machines and at stores they are usually how they are born but covered in salt. i remember many a days of getting high and devouring pistachios. probably why i am a bit of a tubbo now. |

Some fun pistachio facts for you to chew on: Pistachio is not a nut but rather the seed of a thin-shelled drupe. Pistachio has a very characteristic flavour. There is a soup recipe I've been wanting to try that involves pistachios and cashews. It's called Mulligatawny and comes from India. Mixed nut deliciousness ranking: 1. Pecan 2. Cashew 3. Brazil 4. Round hard ones 5. Peanut *Pistachio would be 1 or 2. |
