Post the first couple of things off the top of your head that you think are underrated and do the same with things you think are overrated. Underrated: Nada Surf - My favorite rock band, if you have only heard the song popular, do youself a favor and d/l or buy an album of theirs, particularly the new one, The Weight is a Gift. Super Nintendo - Best RPG's of all time, they won't get any better, ever, i.e. FF2, FF3, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana. Stephen King - Much more than just a horror story writer. Overrated: Autechre - Don't flame me please :P, I just don't enjoy them as much as the other big ones - AFX, SP, BOC, even Plaid. The Empire Strikes Back - Don't get me wrong, I love it of course, but better than the original Star Wars? Nope! Chrono Cross on Playstation - The sequal to Chrono Trigger sucks a big one in my opinion, but many people think its one of the greatest games ever. Not me. Forgetful characters, hardly any weapon/armor customization, just bland all around. Those are my opinions at the moment - what are yours? |

r40f - usually my opinions aren't very popular. Combo - the B-Side release was sold at their concerts so I'm not totally sure if you will be able to find it, but good luck on that because it's pretty damn good. |

I know Stephen King gets a lot of admiration, but I think some people might write him off as not being an excellent writer/storyteller because he writes mainly horror stories. I read his short story(Almost 200 pages long) "The Mist" while on an airplane and couldn't put it down simply because of his character development. The main characters in that story seem real and they are in this crazy, crazy situation. I couldn't put it down, but a lot of his stories are like that. But you are right as in he probably not exactly underrated. |

I will also concur that Chrono Chross is horrible... i bought it thinking "it's made by Square and it's the sequal to Chrono Trigger - must be DY-NO-MITE!" oh how wrong I was. |
