on the premise that draft has 6ier.cr, the conclusion must be drawn that: draft > untitled

I prefer untilted too, I didn't find draft boring tough, I still love xylin room and iv vv iv vv viii. In these days I'm listening to Lcc by untilted I really love it especially after 3.20 minuts. Try it Goran.

I'd like Draft better if it had better mastering. There's too much compression / limiting and it's exhausting to listen to.
Plus it just sounds to me like they had better ideas or were more inspired on Untilted. It's pretty subjective, I know. Anyhoo it was a relief to me that I like Untilted a lot more. Restores my faith in those nice ae boys.

i'm still getting into untilted... but i don't believe the two albums can be compared... they are simply completely different in how each track is made and expose a different emotion. at least for me anyway, draft is still sinking into my head.
for instance on "surripere"... probably my most favorite on the album... because it's so lush with all sorts of synths and drum machine bleeps and boops... oh yeas ye how we rolly polly
how does booth and brown do it? the ae of them has got em

but to topic, confield rules, draft rules, untilted rules, amber rules..etc....

i think Draft has better synth sounds and atmospheres on it, but the drum programming on it is more cerebral, whereas the rhythms on Untilted seem to groove a lot more. but Surripere and 6E.CR are amazingly strong tracks, so it's a close call. i agree with those who said it depends on what you're in the mood for.

I prefer Draft by a longshot. More depth, I hear more ''things'' and movements. I think. It'll probably be 2006 by the time I master listening to Untilted though, so this may change.

WELL WELL WELL. I've just listened to Draft 7:30 again and I realize that I like the beginning of each songs but after a few minutes I sometimes find those songs boring. And now I'm listening to Untilted and I'm slowly appreciating it a bit more.

For me Draft was a case of "technically we can beat the fuck out of anyone" and untilted was "now we're going to beat the fuck out of you". I much prefer untilted, it is a much more raw album and I just feel it more than I do Draft which is a bit, dare I say, artsy.

I definitely prefer Draft. Matter of fact I prefer most Autechre over Untilted. I think it's just too inconsistent. It has some GREAT moments, such as the second half of Trees -- brilliant. But the first half.. that melody is just total shit. I mean come on. Listen to that bullshit. And how long does it go on with little or no change? Two full minutes or something? Give me a break. I'm John Stossal.
Draft just seems crazier to me. Untilted is more straightforward.. there are sections in Draft that are sort of there for their own sake, and don't repeat -- like the beginning of IV VI etc. I think of draft as this writhing, mutating and exploding thing in not very expected ways. Untilted is more like a repeating beat with slight changes over time.

confield was great. sounds were quite unobvious
draft was good in a different way, had more natural bits, drones, etc...bit more of a beat....more synthy sounds than confield
untilted has groove. (baby) even recognisable samples. a lot more bassey than the others
in conclusion:
confield>draft>untilted ^___________________/

ont thing about autechre... for me its hard to choose a favourite among their discography... as it is very solid, with no weak releases... all coherent in a great evolution of sound but keeping their soul intact all through their career
one of the best bands ever
