I need to figure out what's.. the best for my use and quickly. I think the other topic got a bit "full," so people didn't read the end. I'm not a "hardcore gamer." I may want to play a few games, but I can deal with lower resolutions and stuff like that. I'll mostly just use the computer for making music (oh, and some academic stuff), and I want a card that supports two screens. It shouldn't have "Hypermemory" or "turbocache" (or so I am told, as these two things use the computers own memory or something), nor do I want fans, as they make sound. It should also be pci-express. I don't know shit about tech-stuff with screencards It should cost very little, but still be "good." Thinking about these two, but I really don't know if they support two screens or just have two outs whereof only one can be used at a time (if there are cards that do that)... actually, if there is little or no difference between the two, I'll go with the first, as they have it in the store I'm getting most of the other stuff from... saves postage and packing expenses, so it'll be cheaper. Other suggestions are welcome, but keep it cheap. |

It's a tricky one to call because even though you're not using it for games it can still be of benefit. Let me have a think mate. |

Hm.. vlari and Drunken Mastah with 2 new computers.. cool. Mastah, i don't know much about technical information on screen cards, i read your two links, i think they are both excellent. Therefore i can reccomend you to choose one of them, then like you said, you won't be a games maniac on pc, one of them will be adapted for your what you need. making music etc.. This isn't much useful but... |

my old radeon supported sual screen and was all lovely but i got a new comp without an agp slot so i cant use it anymore so its now reduntly laying in a drawer whilst i use the mobo gfx |

fuckin` `ell.. just ordered, and turns out one of the things I`m getting won`t be available until the 5th of next month, and there`s another item that they don`t know when will be in stock. oh, well.. I`ll just have to keep figuring stuff out using this linux crap.. if I had no internets, I wouldn`t know when my lectures were and shit... |
