Did anyone go to this year's V festival?

I've just got back from the one in Chelmsford, was very
good.
Saw Prodigy last night and chemical brothers the night
before,as well as other bands like franz ferdinand, etc,

Chemical brothers were absolutely brilliant! The last act on
the channel4 stage on saturday night, it was a great show,
brilliant effects, lasers, great, the music was still great,
they played a good mix of mostly old but a bit of new stuff
added in and all sort of remixed/tweaked together.
-they havent lost it

Prodigy was absolutely wild last night! I was near the front
and it was completely rammed, it was so intense. They played
their older stuff from Fat of the land and even older,
nothing really from the latest Liam Howlett only 'prodigy'
album. Still, very good, keith flint is still mad, went
crowd surfing and hardly sang/MC'd at all, just sort of
looked insane, music was great, very good, the sub sonic
brown notee-esque bass was particularly brutal and all in
all was very good. Live drummer, guitar and MCing.

Other bands probably aren't relevant, since its not
"Excellent Electronic Music", but chemical brothers and
prodigy definately was :D

no I went with my mates. They're into all that sort of
music, and I don't dislike it, so I went along and had a
good time.
Wouldn't have been my first choice, but then if I saw AFX or
someone they wouldn't be interested!

I listened from my house and that was about it. I watched
some on TV too and the Chemical Brothers were underwhelming.
I don't know if I've changed my music tastes have changed so
much but I used to love Block Rockin' Beats but I was just
bored watching it. Glad I didn't pay to go. Glad you had a
good time though. Atmosphere probably helps :)

i would love to see prodigy live. that new single spitfire
(yes i know, totally ripping on the popularity of
