My parents say that I spend too much money on music. I go to the recordstore every week where to spend about 60€ and I order stuff on the internet (about 5 or 6 CD or LPs per week). I know it's a lot but I love music and I'm discovering more and more awesome stuff.
I spend my own money as I've begun working and I'm near to be 21 so I can spend my money as I want, but my parents don't seem very happy about that.
Do you have the same problem ?

its a problem that i've had for the past 12 years. at one point i was spending half my wages on records every week. i cant afford to do it now, even if i have got £100 to last till the end of the month, i will go and spend at least £40 on music, then struggle through. i have mostly been out of debt all my life, but i am going to sell of about 20% of my record collection to pay off debt and buy a new computer quite soon.

only selling off the crap. i made the mistake of selling good records in the past, the spending loads more to buy back the ones i really missed.
just shit that i thought "yeah, might as well buy it i suppose" only things that i can't see myself listening to again.

I used to have this problem, and it resulted in mounds of CDs that I don't even listen to anymore, and there are tons of things I listen to now that I know will have only a limited place in my heart. So I cut it down to buying only my favorite stuff.
And now I've cut it done to none. Man I wish I had some spending money right now. I haven't been able to buy a vidyo game or a CD in many weeks. My fault, I'm a douche.

living in england i bought stacks of cds but south africa is a different story, there is only one really big cd shop (CD Wherehouse) and the most interesting albums are all imports costing about R200 which is expensive if you're earning in rands. but it is nice to rarely buy albums because you treasure them more.

I spend much on CD`s, they cost the same as in the other parts of EU, but our wages are 3,4 times smaller.

feeding your passion with purchasing music is a rewarding experience, you'll appreciate it more 10-yrs down the road when you have an all-expansive and incredible selection of actual releases...

I spend too much money on music. This is why I didn't see "new" bands at Glade. I couldn't face hearing something so awesome that I had to go out and buy some. I know I can download it too but I'm a sucker for having the actual product in my hand.
