Haha, no, 4 hours is very long, especially when
Sachiko M is involved. But still, it's great if you listen
to it one CD at a time.

i actually managed to make it through all but the last 20
minutes of the third cd once... it's really bloody hard to
set aside that much time for uninterrupted listening... i've
never been the biggest fan of sachiko, but i think with each
new release i hear, her tones seem to get more and more
transparent... less obtuse... it's a lot easier to listen to
her hear than it is on some of the older stuff she did with
Yoshihide as filament...

it's a pretty pathetic list so far... the number of those
releases that could be considered even remotely pop is maybe
4... and i could only really add a few to that list from
what people have already mentioned... there are certain
areas where i have a lot of catching up to do.

how many of those albums actually involve something sonic?
j/k, but i bet at least half of those is that experimental
sort of music where a particular sound occurs every 5
minutes or so :)

This is the year when I went all commercial, so my list
would end up including Oasis, Coldplay and the Coral. Eh.
:/

Otherwise, Autechre, Ochre, Mercury Rev, John Frusciante,
The Wedding Present, Six Organs of Admittance and Antony &
The Johnsons have put out some good stuff. And expecting
greatness from FSOL and Current 93.
