i use vlc player a lot. because it is much useful when you
must see the film's Preview you can see it also if you
download is still turn on, and it is still incomplete.

It is useful for that indeed.

redrum: I'm watching Assault on Precinct 13. It's alright.
My mate downloaded it so I thought I'd have a gander. Only
problem is if I start going something intensive in CAD then
the film image pauses and the audio continues.

I can't get Print Screen to take a picture of the film I'm
watching. Gay.

ahh that's bogey. still, at the same time, pretty nifty, if
you can get away with it.

d'ya know what you do to get around the CAD problem?
movie -> fullscreen. then there's no CAD shite interfering
;P

I have fond memories of doing this. Around the time 8 Mile
and Sum of All Fears came out I was watching about 2 a day.
Then I switched offices and couldn't do it anymore, gutted.

YEAH!

I can't normally do it. Only every now and then. Normally I
just have music on and pass away the hours.

Pete: I'll be on Slsk tonight. I did pop on a couple of
times on Sunday but you weren't around at the same time.

it's especially handy because it's lightweight, and yet
comes with LOTS of codecs, so if there's ever a movie that
you can't play - vlc will almost always be able to play it.

haven't found it being too keen on wmv files though :/ dunno
what's up there. doesn't play the video, just the audio..

Sometimes it'll play them sometimes it won't. I don't really
know why. Other than that it's cool. I'll be doing a
reinstall of Windows soon and this time I won't be
installing Codecs galore.
