A thought struck me the other day- how many pens do you think there are in London? I reckon 20-30 million, but does anybody else want to hazard a guess? Any other interesting thoughts? |

If there are 6 million in London and each person owns say 30 pens, but we also have to count tourists, massive stationary cupboards in faceless offices, pens on boutique stalls that say "London" and cost £3.50 &c. Man, if somebody could get a monopoly over all the pens in London (Monopoly, London, geddit?) They'd be LOADED! |

I will ignore the dubious proclimation of the thread title in favor of turning my amazement to the fact that there are so many pens in England! I honestly think that there are fewer than 12 pens in my entire household (I might have 6 more in my office at work) and I write a considerable amount. how many pens does one person need? nope- still not intersting. |
