isnt it a very low rate the number of releases warp had this last year? since ultravisitor (march 2004) only 4 artists released an album till today: (put aside compilations or packs or alikes... just talking about new material) squarepusher - march 2004 savath & savalas - a'tropa broadcast - microtonics 3"cd (if this can be considered new at the time) autechre - untilted prefuse73 - surrounded by silence ok, I know more eps and singles were released, and also some soundtracks and the warpvision... but only 4 artists have put out a full lengh in warp in 14 months isnt that very low rate for sucha big label? dont smaller labesl release quite a lot more? and dont come with the quality over quantity speach... which is obvious... but still... seems like very little new material for a whole label in more than a year |

also, some warp artists release stuff on other labels, and have other commitments, it just depends on what is happening. |

if thats true, why care about warp i try to follow individual artists myself - once i like your stuff, i am hooked, i dont care if you release utter shit - i will buy it and give it the benefit of the doubt :( |

A lot of artists that warp release have had a major impact on music today, from underground to mainstream. They may not be known a big label (which they aren't), but they are certainly an influentual one. People will get listened to just for being signed to warp. |

nac: the savath&savalas album is called "apropa't", what its catalan and means "acercate"/"come closer"... :) dunno if you knew that, but scott is living in barcelona! about warp: they are changing. i (think i) havent bought any of his albums since ultravisitor, just untilted last week... |

I didnt know that atropa't was catalan... but I did know that herren live in barcelona (sonarville) thanks as always for the info... I wish I knew catalan I am buying alot of warp back catalogue lately (nightmares on wax, sabres of paradise, richard devine old ep, brothomstates from 2001...) but new releases I bought form warp in last year?... ultravisitor, and all the []pusher eps from that album, untilted, new prefuse, team shadetek... and I dont know what else... nothing more I think |
