The man is awesome. I am listening to Mangle 11 for the
first time in months and the track is fucking immense. The
rest of these drill boys should hang their head in shame
because NOBODY DOES IT LIKE APHEX. NOBODY CAN DO IT LIKE
APHEX.

I like the end of Mangle 11, it does sound to me like the
fullstop to "drill", I wish to fuck it were. It's as if it
says, I've buried this on a compilation, it packs more ideas
and beats in 3 minutes than most people in their whole
careers, I accidently helped out starting this fucking
genre, it was only meant to be a couple of jokey tracks not
a fucking blueprint for every bedroom bound nobjockey to
dilute and dilute until it became even more meaningless, and
now I am putting the lid on it. Amen to that.

I know you're being sarcastic. Please carry on doing break
mash-up-core up until your early 40s, I am sure there will
always be a niche audience to keep you in flapjacks.

He wouldn't say "god, you're completely right." unless he
was being sarcastic.

If I am wrong I will delete every post and this whole thing
never happened.

*yawn*... don't you ever get tired of all the negative,
sarcastic, cynic and elitist thoughts you have about music
of these days?
I know I typed this in another thread but razorblade closed
the thread before you could give me an intellectual awnser
which would leave me speachless and make make me regret that
I typed that message.

writes like a cock.

I don't know what yo're talking about but as a reference:

If it's tired and derivative, yes, I will say it's lazy and
bollocks. That's not because I'm elitest, it's because I'm
easily bored.

If it's in any way original, good, moving, compelling,
diverting, fun, interesting I will be among the first to
sing its praises.

I'm not going to get into a row, but you yourself do
"pastiches" and adopt styles of "IDM" whilst holding back
saying "this isn't my real music" or something similar. I
don't know, but I think it's easy to pick up an electronic
genre and say "Oh, right, I'm breakcore" or "Devine" or
whatever, it's just, depressing.

Mangle is awesome.

It sounds like everything that was awesome about drukqs
mixed into one fantastic piece.

yeah... but can't I have some fun when I'm making music? it
doesn't always have to be serious or whatever. and yes I
admit I like Richard Devine's music and when I hear a track
of him I like I wonder if I can do that kind of stuff too.
same with squarepusher and aphex. but I don't consider this
stuff to be sencere or something I would want to release. I
just do this stuff to get better technically.... and for fun
ofcourse. if you would hear the music I made that I'm proud
of you'll hear that I don't feel the need to cram 100000
beats in one bar at 300 bpm. or try to sound exactly like
aphex or something.
for me the most important thing in music is that it sounds
sencere.
and I do believe I'm doing my own thing to some extent. but
I can't denie that there is an obvious influence of idm.
you be the judge
