Track two BYOB (the single)

I like the poppy chorus...

Track three kind flows from BYOB. That's going to annoy me
on my iPod although I am used to it on a lot of my stuff
now.

Nice harmonising, so far so good.

track five has become a spanish pop song. This will be a big
hit with middle aged English women in Majorca. Fun non the
less

track seven - another poppy one, the verse is good..

track eight - nice rock riff

So far I am quite impressed by this although the cover
artwork looks like it has been done by a 14 year old.

Track nine- another nice rock riff, it is a very typical
SOAD track.

The tracks must be very short, you have listened to 9 of the
11 tracks in 20 minutes.

Track ten- hmm vocoders and synths, I can't help but think
of the start of Alice Cooper - Poison.

Track eleven- Ballad time, whenever I hear a rock ballad, I
think of Extream - More then Words, now it's stuck in my
head while I am listening to this, not a good sign.

Saying I love you
Is not the words I want to hear from you
It’s not that I want you
Not to say, but if you only knew
How easy it would be to show me how you feel

hmmm

Short but sweet, apart from the rock ballad. I am quite
happy with my purchase....

Anyone see their performance on SNL? I thought it kinda
sucked.

i can add confirmation of suckage and overall cheesiness
derived from their performance/river dance on snl.

I've heard samples of the album and the two singles which
are to be released in England. Really disappoint to be
honest for someone who was a real hardcore system fan only a
few years back, even the 'Steal this Album!' LP which was
loaded with bootlegs was better than this one IMHO

DeerDance and ATWA (Air.Trees.Water.Animals) remain the best
tracks they've ever done and nothing on this album comes
remotely close to either.

However it IS a double album and we'll have to wait until
'Hypnotise' comes out in the fall to judge it all properly.

maybe you should try the old albums rather than judge them
on this new trash. I admit I'm more of a Trance man myself,
Delerium, Deepest Blue, Steve Lawler and all that.

hmmm...I dont think anyone can judge a song by listening to
it and thinking "hmm what should I write in the xltronic
board about this song" while not listening to the whole
song.

All SOAD cds take some listening to like
And you need to listen to the whole album to get a feel of
what they're trying to say.

Not even professional music critics do what you just did.

I love this album...its keeping with their style and is
fuckin rockin great!

Of course I can do this. I can do what the hell I like.
Guess what, I am not a professional music reviewer, I
thought it would be an interesting thing to do.

I like the album apart from the ballad, but I guess they
have to have one for you chicks;) The next time you buy an
album, I invite you to do the same it's kinda fun.

I dont view albums the same way you do...it just dont see an
album for its single song, but more for the whole.

I'll give it to Delerious though... its all you!

Do you always listen to an album from begining to the end
without skipping tracks or selecting whereyou start?

heard it at work, was described as "protest album of the
year" by a colleage, music was "interesting" but the lyrics
were some of the worst, amateur politics student crap I've
ever heard.

"my cock is much bigger than yours,
my cock is so big it can't fit through the door"

or something like that

come on guys you can do better than that, and put the
freaking rhyning dictionary away for christs sake.

my brother bought it yesterday. but i don't like system of a
down and i haven't heard this album (nor want to - i've
heard a little bit of what was on the website and it made me
want to leave it...), so, eh, i guess this post is useless.

oh wait, i can say that the artwork is pretty cool, i guess;
somewhat ugly in a way but somewhat impressive as well.

cool surely?
