It makes me laugh. I shall now describe why it's a redundant system. PErson calls switchboard. Switchboard calls pager company who send me a message to call such a number. I call switchboard who put me through. I find out the problem. I page the technician who's on call and they go fix it. Anyone else thinking this is a roundabout way to do things? Looks good on my CV though as it's a responsibility thing. |

We would get double time for a service call. Once you leave the house you are on the clock. For my position i would have been getting 18+/hr |

That's the thing. I just get woken up and tell someone to do something. It's dumb. redrum: I kid you not. If I was getting paid a properly hourly rate it would be awesome. Especially as Im doing the first half of the Bank Holiday Monday. That said, I get a lieu day for it :D |
