I like the sounds, melodies and production but the
arrangement could be more fluid. The variations in the
middle are nice. Try changing into a completely unrelated
key or include some yodeling.

I'm afraid no such changes can be made! If anything I might
do another mix with some level changes and a tad more
variation.. but thank you for the suggestions fleetmouse :D

I really feel that your skill is improving! I remember
hearing tracks from you long ago (or so i remember). There
are some real nice sounds in here. Good going! :o)

Yeah I think this is my breakthrough track in many ways.. I
feel much more confident about music making than I ever
have, slowly becoming an intermediate and everything :D

Yeah i totally agree. I would like to see you really try a
variety of new things. I can see that you have an ear for
this, i just get that feeling from listening to this. I
would like to hear some more like it.

Sorry to be overly enthusiastic but i am in a great mood
today and i really liked this ;o)

This is the most complete track I have heard from you Max,
also one of the most complete on the board, however rather
than be another bottom feeder I will offer some opinion into
the track.

The biggest point is that this sounds more like a
Horsefactory track than a Xammax track, and I am a little
concerned that you have made something to how you think
people wanted to hear it rather than what you wanted to
really make. This obviously could be complete shit but the
BoC coupled with ae seems to be the order of the day at the
moment...and whilst it is surely better than anything I
could come up with, it still sounds a little too much like
generic, run of the mill, 'IDM' that a million wannabes
knock out a million tracks of each day.

It is clear you have talent enough to go far but you need to
keep exanding and developing until you reach a unique sound
of your own that truely sets you apart from everyone else.

Don't take this as a negative view of the track, I really
really like it and have listened to it on repeat a couple of
times. :)

This is the kind of review I was expecting, Lee. To me, this
also sounds like generic IDM, I'm willing to admit. The fact
that it sounds more complete than anything I've made is
because of this; I had to put off trying to make something
that would blow peoples minds so that I could actually
finish a track. Constant attempts at being experimental were
stifling my creativity, so I went with a more focused route.
I concentrated more on arrangement and production than
individual sounds, so it's no surprise that it sounds quite
run-of-the mill. Rest assured though, I'm on my way up :)

Thanks for listening/reviewing :D

haha shit...I just realised how that looked. There is a
massive difference there, your tracks I feel. They are
packed with emotion which is something I didn't get from
Max's...what i really wanted to say is that he did a track
in your style but without the feeling behind it...it sounded
a bit like "here is a chunk of sound" rather than "here is a
peice of me"...haha I shouldn't have to explain this, you
know I love your stuff.

Definitely sounds better on headphones. But yeah, well done
babe this is definitely your best track. I think a big part
of it is the use of a melody. Well done and I hope this is
the beginning of something for you x

I do really like the song, although I think a little more
varitions with the drums sounds would be cool. I like the
glitch effects I dont think you overused them. All and all
nice track, it kind of reminds me of the album leaf

ill listen to it a few more times and see if I can give a
better critique
nice work

i like the track. however ecnadniarb is right with that
"IDM" thing. and that snare...the drums could really be more
varied. i could blah blah a bit more but braindance
backwards has mostly expressed what i think about it. i
wanna sleep

enqueued in my playlist, anyway

p.s. that synth at the end is one of my favs, i used it long
time ago, great sound

good night
