My cellphone screen supports one line of black and white
text.

I need a new cellphone that supports more than one line of
black and white text.

when did you get it? : )

mine is from circa 2000... monochrome as well, but three
lines of text can fit on the screen! (i drop it and the cap
got dislocated a few days ago though... now it won't close
again unless i hold it with something, like a spring got
reversed inside... i use a hair elastic band and a piece of
scotch to keep it closed...)

Cells aren't my thing either. Although, they might come in
handy in case your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere,
but it's not a device I'd rely too heavily on in public.

i would rather have the experience of being stranded in the
middle of nowhere than the perpetual burdens of owning a
cell phone. honestly.

what's silly about it? look at what you've posted: "i used
to hate them but now i couldn't live without it." that sort
of quote serves as much more of an ominous warning to me
than an endorsement.

actually i forgot i had one for 3 days and i used it out of
state and racked up a huge bill and then returned it so i
didnt have to pay! I dont like people being able to get a
hold of me 24/7

i used to feel like that, i have posts to prrove it but now
a shift has taken place. i miss out on much less, i like
being contacted when something is about to happen and not
when it's happened.

i totally agree. i was very anti-cellphone before i got one.
but the convenience of the thing is so remarkable. i tend
to panic when i forget to bring it with me or if the battery
runs out. also, i don't know anybody's phone numbers
anymore so i can't even use a regular phone to call somebody
unless its my wife or my parents.

it's really annoying when i'm trying to hook up with friends
on a friday night or something and i can't reach them to
change plans or meeting places because they don't have one.
step into the 21st century already like!

you could just not answer, then check the message later. i
do it all the time. like if i'm at work and i have blood
all over my hands and don't want to go fishing in my pocket!

and evolume.
