ok
whats happening with that guy?
he is a good musician...
but is he THAT good?
i mean, he has a perfect "academic" way to make music
but does he have a personal touch?
dunno,
ive never been atracted for him, althought hes in the great
labels (warp, rephlex, ninja tune, planet-mu...).
dunno,
whats the problem?
whats his problem?
im just talking shit?

hahaha
ive tried to sort my eyes out...
but never been satisfied...
i dont doubt his tracks are great,
but its like he lacks something...
dunno, im just trying to express my inconcrete feeling about
him...

i also feel a big respect for him, cause hes always doing
what he want, all kinds of styles, always average tracks...
etc... bah!

anyway, im happy for him...
i remember him in an interview some years ago saying that he
didnt find space for his music, nor in warp nor in rephlex
and he seemed a bit sad...

:)

ok, ill buy "musipal" somedaysoon.

I think he honestly loves all these silly genres. It's more
the labels picking bits from what he's made.

Yeah. Luke vibert is great. His styles vary from acid to
lounge to drum and bass, and he does whatever he wants. Plus
he gets to release three or four albums a year soley because
he rocks.

Additionally, lets not forget that he inspired the whole
drill n bass thing with his plug ep's. I don't really like
drill n bass, but I give respect where it is due.

His shows are sick live!!!

I like his plug stuff (inc amen andrews), but he REALLY
rocks the 303 for his acid releases. Yoseph was awesome, and
his new 12" is superb. Just get the forthcoming CD on mu
which is a compilation of all the acid stuff he did for the
label - its fantastico.

I don't like the sample-happy wagon christ stuff. But I
think YosepH is amazing, and Kerrier District is pretty good
too. All the Amen Andrews and Plug stuff is great as well.

Overall, I say yay more than nay. I don't care if he has an
"acedemical" or non-groundbreaking way of making music. You
just can't deny that it is good, and at some times, great.
