mmkay.. this is my third, and it's pure hip-hop... I know some of the transitions suck (especially to and from BOB), but I think there are a few I managed to get pretty good (the area between the two tribe called quests)... I'm not sure if it got uploaded properly.. the thing that said how fast it was uploading and shit like that turned into a "?" after a while, but the process kept going, so... I also think people not that into hip-hop could find some nice tracks here, but I could be wrong, and I probably am. oh, and I'm still learning this stuff, and with this one I actually matched a few of the songs on the turntable (both tribe called quests and that jurassic 5 thing) first, and then pitched the mp3s accordingly (although a little more precise, I think.. hehehe), so.. did it sit well? |

I know it's a long time ago that you posted this mix but I promised to listen to it so I did. I also needed to be in the right mood to listen to this Hiphop mix :) I liked the mix a lot and even more because I only knew 2 songs of it, most of the mixes I listen to have songs I already know and as you can confirm thats something completely different to listen to. Most of the transfers (which I noticed) sounded really great, if I remember rightly your beatmatching skills are starting to grow...."You can kick it" ;) The only transitions that I did not like was at 32:40 & 36:10. The first song contained an old top40 sample, did you mixed it or is it in the original song? and around 15 minutes there is a Fugees sample which I liked very much. Awesome hiphopmix! recommended! I'm really looking forward to an IDM-ish mix of yours. |

haha! thanks man! great! I didn't put anything extra in, so the sample is in the song. the fugees sample is also in the song. it's a tribe called quest - bonita applebum. I've been working on the next mix, but I'm having a bit of trouble with a few songs, though... I have to pitch too high in places, so I'm trying to work out which other songs I can put in between to make it more liquid. |

It was good stuffs. I liked it alot, mixing was spotless, although I could have liked a few more fast tracks after B.O.B. Good job. |
