it is a true work of art. is Geinoh Yamashirogumi
responsible for the original soundtrack or just that track

this soundtrack - especially the one without dubs all over
it - is far above even the best of anime soundtracks (inc.
Hisaishi's ghibli/miyazaki scores, or Ghost in the
Shell)...

I guess you could call this new age or maybe neoclassical,
or maybe "trad." or ethno, but some of it is pure
electro-acoustic mindfuckery and tapefuckery àla the best
of idm.

kaneda, tetsuo, clowns, dolls... all these are fantastic,
including the ones I'm not mentioning

The music that plays while Tetsuo forms his new arm and
looks up at the sky is ghostly. The theme song to Ghost in
the Shell is equaly haunting

my favorite soundtrack. i second tetsuo as best track, tho i
like putting the shorter ones (doll's polyphony) as
surprises on a mixtape.
