they certainly have a bit of the poseur about them, but I
like their musics.

I like the new album ("no wow") more than the one before,
eventhough that has a few great songs on.

so, what sort of music is it? comparable to some other band?

I heard good things about them BUT I heard bad things about
the new album.

I'm confused.

she gets compared to PJ Harvey a lot, yes.

I don't think she sounds like her that much, but I
can see where people are coming from.

the new cd has a limited edition run with a dvd included,
containing a 40-minute documentary about The Kills. it's a
nice little extra, I think.

yes, she sounds much alike pj in some songs but not that
much in some others..

any idea where to get that special one? preferably cheap :)

it's in cd shops overhere.

I think when they say "limited", it's like the first print,
so it shouldn't be that hard to get a hold off.

here, Play has it. 11 quid isn't that bad and no
shippingcost.

at least, I think it'll be the dvd-version although they
don't mention it.

they also have the normal version (at the same price).. you
could e-mail them and ask.

damn, that site looks good (plenty on stock and cheap), i
picked several things proceeded to check out and found out
that they don't ship over here..awesome :-) i thought it was
too good to be true..
i'll check out some other sites tomorrow i suppose..

aw that sucks!

they're dvd's are incredibly cheap!

anyway, you should be able to find the album + dvd for the
same price as just the cd, max.

feel.

I dont want any of you to take this the wrong way as I
really like you all, but I am absolutely, 100% fucking
astounded, dumbfounded, and boggled that groups still make
music like this, and what's more, it's still appreciated! It
honestly defies every bit of logic I can throw at it.

that being said, I hope you all have a lovely time listening
to it.

I have nothing against guitars, guitars rule. I guess what I
was trying to say was that bands ("groups") like the kills
and the white stripes are so UNfresh in my eyes. their music
has been done a million times before, or it at least seems
that way to me. I prefer guitar that is much more technical
than that, by the way. I tire very quickly of 3 chord
progressions.

i see, well, i must say it sounds fresh to my ears..what i
love about it so much, is the raw, harsh sound of it, right
down to the point, no polishment and all that...just
unrefined music and i love that + not to mention it sounds
awesome to my ears :)
