Sometimes I imagine the guys who wrote the DSM-IV holding a
thumb up and squinting with one eye at ecnadniarb.

I picture lee being a bigger guy. Like around 6'4. and like
225lbs.

I picture him drinking dark lagers and being an unstoppable
force at the pubs.

Lee is a good guy. I have always appreciated his presence
from the beginning. He is XLT's big brother

would you know ?

I would like to drink with him and we can hurl insanely
offensive insults back and forth at each other, occassionaly
stopping to giggle like schoolgirls, only to end up making
fun of how gay we giggle when we are together.

you don't get any clues about people you talk to online?
i must say that i have a pretty good picture of what most of
the people here are :)

well, i trust my judgement deeply..i spend quite a bit of
time here and so do those other people. i know them almost
better than my real life friends. + is sure everyone who's
into music can't be a bad person :)

majority of the board.

There are a lot more channels of communication happening
when you meet somebody face to face.

Tolstoyed, Adolf Hitler loved the music of Richard Wagner...
I guess that is enough evidence against your naive
statement, "everyone who's into music can't be a bad
person".

i doubt that Hitler would seriously listen to non
german/austrian/switzerland musicians, as only they were
probably "clean" enough not to make him mad aboud
breed-clean thingies again.

well, there are always exceptions, but i bet even hitler was
nice to his close friends :)
for real though, i attended quite a number of gigs in my
life and i must say that the general idea i got, is that
those are the kindest and nicest people around..

Well, unless you are a scholar of Hitler, I doubt what you
think about the listening range of that man is valid in the
slightest.

And, besides, so what? There are plenty of Scottish people
who listened exclusively to Scottish folk music, there are
plenty of white middle class teenagers who listen
exclusively to the stereotypical music of white middle class
teenagers, there are plenty of negro people who listen
exlusively to music made by negroes... what's your point?
That you have love music within the parameters you ascribe
for you be eligible of the status, Music Lover?

unfortunately, some of the worst people i've ever had the
misfortune of coming across were avid music listeners. of
course, the best people i've met loved music as well...

offline marlowe from Antarctica on 2005-02-18 08:50 [#01503136]

So, we can safely deduce that love of music is not related
to integrity of character.

must be my luck then :) because seriously i haven't had a
bad experience with people who attend the same gigs - now
this goes for smaller, alternative music gigs, electronica
and such..the crowd at big gigs is usually to impersonal to
make any judgements. but honestly, every gig i attend im
always fascinated at how cool those people are..

Perhaps if you weren't always so fascinated at how cool
these people were you would see more clearly their
characters. I'm not saying they are bastards etc, but it
seems like you have some kind of inferiority complex. And
make sure you never mistake Fashion for Cool. Again, I'm not
saying you do.

haha, you're right about inferiority complex, but i can't
quite see what that's got to do with this..it's not about
finding out about their characters more for a general
impression..surely they aren't all nice, i just had the luck
not to find a bad individual so far..and those people who
i've met better through music and gigs and are now friends,
are all awesome people. probably my good luck again :)

as for fashion and cool..i wouldn't really know about
fashion..

ecnadniarbs a bit of a cunt. more often than not I dislike
him. He seems to talk about himself in the third person
sometimes also, which is normally reserved only for famous
negroid athletes and entertainment stars.
