Needs more participants! This will be a great vibes if more
people submit tracks.

nothing too experimental or
clicky/cutty, nothing too fast, no ambient stuff.

I can't be bothered since I will almost definetly take too
long and miss the deadline, or not get accepted anyway

Suck.

If I really need to make a funk track, it will be with real
instruments. And I am all alone here. Nooo.

hehe!

i could try this out.. i often end up having funky breaks in
my tracks.. but but funky music isnt very fun to make imo, I
really dislike a funky bass guittar for example.
If I somehow by luck ends up with something funky that i
like i will very send much.

the restrictions for this one make it sound like so much
non-fun. :(

maybe i'll do a track, if there's an extended deadline...

i don't want to spend hours and hours on a track only to be
told that there are already 15 tracks submitted, though. if
the tracks were selected for quality instead of timeliness,
i'd be more likely to contribute. the first post said
"first come, first served."

obviously this won't really be a "funk" compilation, but
more of a downtempo funky sort of affair...

So far there've only been about 4 or 5 suitable tracks
submitted. But I've started playing around with them and
it's sounding very nice :)

I wouldn't worry too much about deadlines and things......
there's definitely loads of time left. I'd post a warning on
here plenty of time in advance (e.g. two weeks) before I
stopped taking submissions.

And it's first come/first served in that I'll use the first
15 or so tracks that arrive that are of the right quality.
But if another really good track arrived, then I'd stick it
on too. I'm not going to be a total fascist about it :) I
could always make it 20 tracks but, to be honest, I think
I'll be lucky to even get 15 submissions at this rate.....

Come on, people, some more tracks please!

yeah I guess I'll try, I just have a depressingly tiny
amount of time to musick with at the moment, and I've always
been a slow musickster, and on top of that I've never made
anything within these restrictions before and its harder
than I thought

the track i did submit was shit and won't get used. I can't
seem to make a track under the genre of 'funky'

where's your fucking xltronic spirit?!?!?

now you get back into that fucking bedroom and don't come
out til you've got some downtempo funky vibes!

I'm on it, but my flutist is going slow. I may do it without
him in the end.

ok i've just e-mailed you a track. its not experimental, its
not clicky and its not cutty, its not too fast and its not
ambient. it is chilled out and soulful, but i'm not sure if
it can be classed as funky.
