find out where the epicenter is and stand directly above it
and you'll be fine.

a quick search for tsunami predictions found this
interesting theoretical model.

seems too silly really, except for the fact that he
apperantly predicted the tsunami tragedy.

"Specifically, since 1999 we observe an anomalously high
increase in the thermodynamic potentials... of those
relating including to an increase in the seismic tension in
the Atlantic, in West Europe, in the Iran- Anatolian plate
and in the Asian region. On the basis of precomputations we
is forecast during October - December of 2004 and then,
especially sharply, in 2005 - 2006 the significant growth of
natural catastrophes. "

there were already two quite big earthquakes in the past 4
years about 80 kms from here (on the
slovenian-italian-austrian border), but this one is supposed
to be in a much wider area. i guess that is something normal
for places like japan or california..

The arcticle says that there are some scientists in a town
called Tula (Russia), who built a device (portrayed on a pic
- gradientometer) which helps to predict earthquakes. They
also claim they have predicted several last earthquakes,
including the one caused the tsunami. Scientists are said to
have sent letters to India gov-t with a warning about high
seismic activity, but that was ignored by the Indian gov-t.

They predicted not only earthquakes, but also typhoons and
drought (in 2003, in Europe - was there any?).

The device main principle is that it is claimed to catch and
register smallest gravitational field changes. Plus, it can
then predict the place of the event, can mistake by 100km.

The big mistake in predicting the epicentre of last
earthquake that caused tsunami is explained by the scientist
Oleg Martynov: it was too far for the device to be precise.
They suggested to place the device in India but were
rejected.

and so on.

Something in this article makes me not believe it. It looks
like a yellow press text. But who knows....

And i went for Vladimir aleshin (director "luzhnikov"). Only

i heard minor earthquakes are happening everyday in big
quantities. more frequently in more seismically active

isnt it weird that in another thread we are all saying
nostradamus is wrong and the is no apocalypse, and yet here
we are talking about all the tsunamis and floods that will
definatelly kill us all?

yes, it's weird indeed, but didn't he predict the asteroids
to hit the earth or something?
i don't think the tsunamis or earthquakes could end the
whole life on planet, but they can be very horrible, yes.

At least Nostradamus can't tell us when it will happen. And
calling it apocalypse is also wrong, since it's a religious
term. But for sure, one day we will all die. Nostradamus
did'nt predict it, and it will not be a acopalypse. Can't
wait though.
