Haahaha!

"Dr Who Knowledge Quest" would have been the PERFECT title
for Fenix Funk.

Its wonderful and I cant wait to hear it on hi-quality
vinyl.

xmd5a is one of these ants chasing you, and its body cycles
through 2 frames of animation in sync with the beat.

All this shit wouldn't have made a dent when acid was hot!
Too derivative and nothing ekse.

Daleks. By posting a picture of Daleks, I am suggesting that
the song reminds me of Dr. Who.

All this excellent material would have made a huge impact
when acid was hot!
I'm glad it hasn't turned out to be too derivative and
nothing ekse.

Deffinately not. Acid isn't about studio tricks, it's a
direct dancefloor reaction.

You're saying the Analords are not funky and danceable
enough to move an acid floor. I say you're wrong, very
wrong. They have rythm, they have energy, and they have lots
of soul.

I shall agree to disagree with you.

I think he's more saying that he was around when acid was
hot so he has a better idea than you could have.

I thought you liked Analord. Or are you just agreeing with
qrter that I don't have the proper clearance level to like
this music?

I do like analord, and I was agreeing with quarter, i just
read it like it sounded like jiver saying it wouldnt hold up
then, and you saying it would hold up.. but now. i just
thought there was maybe a misunderstanding somewhere in
there.

I'm not an old timer but these silly 'analord' tracks
would've been shit 20 years ago. They sound authentic (i.e.
polysix) but they are very average immataions of chicago
human house.

Please note*

Brokephones, if you listened to the sample here at xltronic
you may want to consider the following:

The sample was the best part of the song. Much like the
tetra-sync sample that led to the dissapointment that was
ultravisitor (imo)

Just a warning.

offline E-man from Rixensart (Belgium) on 2005-01-26 16:41 [#01476768]
Points: 3000 Status: Regular

he's really not just trying to emulate chicago/detroit
styles (specialy on fenix funk which as a wide range of
influence imo), he also tries to have a certain balance
between instant groove, melodic accessibility, and production
tricks, more complex harmonies so you can sit and listen to
it in headphones and not be bored after 2 min, after all
it's braindance we speak of... :P

and that is probably why they aren't as good as other acid
tracks for straight-up partying but they old up more value
to me than simple acid-house tracks made for dancing, and
don't get me wrong i'm a big, big fan of oldschool
house/techno.

ps: my mom, who only listen to old french varieties and the
like of the eagles and mike brant, loved pissed up in se-1:
she really likes the feel and the strings in it, she finds
it pretty and even don't mind the drums!

I was only messing around that day.. to be honest I think a
few are nice and a few are ok. That's as far as my stance
is.

:D

i think i'm a little bit too much all over that analord
thing on my part...
i didn't leave home for 2 weeks in the same time analord
dropped so i probably listened to it a bit too much, i'm
starting to grow back some legs and my friends finished
their exams so we're going out this weekend and it's making
me feel more relaxed =)

still, i can't stop mixing where's your girlfriend and
grumpy acid... thank you traktor for giving me skills!
:D:D:D

The drums that go with the gnomish harpsichord are
rediculously satisfying.
