i was there, did anyone else go?

he played for an hour at 10pm, the sound system there was a
bit crap, plenty of bass but hard to hear a lot of the
higher sounds.

i was really surprised when he whipped out a bass and
started slappin'. and then the sampled voice was going,
"squah-pushah" over and over. i guess he really likes
squarepusher or something. weird. and i asked him if i
could take his picture and he said yes, but then he started
flailing about like a cretin - waving his arms and speaking
in tongues... so after that i realized that venetian snares
is totally weird and i hear he's bad at music.

i saw chevron a while ago, it was pretty good actually.
laptop thing, i have only heard two of his songs and he
played one of them..nice melodies but gets quite harsh at
times, classic planet mu sound..

yeah chevron was quite cool, never heard him before. will
have to get some to listen to to.

didn't hear any huge chrome tunes.

the first 2 things he played sounded like that new album
that has some samples up on the planet-mu site. basicly
classical strings with some breaks over the top, which i
don't think most of the room were really in to considering
it was a live gig and they were up for more pumpin action.

only 2 tunes i recognized were 'ghetto body buddy' and it
also sounded like a bit of 'abomination street' was going at
some point.

i did take photos, but they are shit, you can't see him,
just all the ppl in front of me.

i really wish it has been either tonight or wednesday night,
i was feeling like shit last night.

he went a bit zany at one point and started hitting himself
in the head i noticed after he skulled a beer. getting
himself psyched up i spose.

quite a bit of the crowd got up on the stage to dance along,
but at some point a boucner kicked them all off, a few were
back up there by the end tho, trying to dance along to what
was basicly gabber.

i think i'd like him more live than on headphones or sitting
around a house.

feeling like dogshit.
