would analord cd defy the point?

you know; the idea behind the series is about mastering
analogue to create music (or something similar). after all
this hard work would you go and put it on a digital medium?
would this defy the point (in a way or completely)?

so, in conclusion, this release could have been called
digilord.

where did you get this information from? there's a point to
analord? it perfectly matches up as the soundtrack to The
Wall you say? so you're telling me it contains backwards
masking that brainwashes folks into worshipping the analord?
it's actually another vsnares album in disguise? you
should have mentioned this earlier.

All I know is that mp3s defy the point more than CDs.

i dont care if cds defeat the point or not; i dont have a
record player or ability to download and the only way i can
hear music is cd. i want an analord cd! waaaah!

if it truly is an all analog release, then yeah, i suppose
it would go against his intent with the album.

But, I really want to listen to it without buing a
turntable.

plus, have we ever even heard any official word that it is
an all analog release? or, are we just guessing based on the
album's name?

rephlex.

I like listening to music in the car. Infact, I either
listen to music in the car or while I'm surfing the net.
Also, I don't have a record player, and the mp3 of analord
sounds fine. Ergo-there should be a CD release.

themselves.

Forgetting about how the music was created in Analogue and
all that bollocks, a cd should come out purely so that more
than a few people can hear it- not to mention that the CD
market is where the big money is...and from what I
understand Rephlex do need the money don't they?

solution... d/l the APE files on soulseek, decompress them
to WAV, burn to CD. Or convert the wav's to mp3's.

sue me.

Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard. You're dumb. The
fact that you somehow thought that since its analogue, it
should remain true to it's format is VERY dumb. Allot of us
members here collect cds. CDS.

aaaaaaand...???

i don't say it is his view, but imagine aphex doesn't want
it on cd for ANY reasons? sure you are dissapointed because
you collect cd's, but it's his choice and life goes on!

well, it really sounds like a 707...
but it is easy to synthesize all of the old roland analogue
drum sounds, so it could well be another thing sounding like
a x0x...

i guess it doesnt matter. i dont agree entirely however,
that the cd market is where the money is. as if you could
charge 40 fuck for a cd with 2 tracks on?

offline Exaph from United Kingdom on 2005-01-20 05:31 [#01467986]

and rdj isnt the kinda quim that would call the series
analord for no reason and release it on vinyl only. its not
a frickin' coincidence you know.
