What's the difference between a drummer and a drum machine?
With a drum machine you only have to punch the information in once!

606s are shite....horrible little tinny sounds...egghh....
Unless you do some very heavy processing on em they just sound like shit...
303s I've got time for but 606s...not really; just nice(ish) to look at....

i hope you're happy. my poor 606 is crying in the corner. sobbing right into it's doepfer din sync. people can be really hurtful towards inanimate objects. so what if it's just a box of frayed wires and cheap plastic that strains to emit even the slightest of low frequencies when it's itty bitty "bd" goes bump. it's still got a soul.
save your barbs for the more deserving, truly worthless junk out there...the simmons, linns, 808's, and the rest of the pile.

It's not worth more than my TR-505, about £50. Anything else is a shameless rip-off.

its a drum machine a bit like tr909 or 808 but not as expensive or good. they still make good sounds though apparently and can be used for sequencing, if you are mad

I'd like an 808 to accompany my MC-202. That would be nice, but they're like £650 here.

i can go either way w/ the 606. true there aren't that many sounds but i can still get it to do some cool stuff. it cool for people looking for those presets and sound source and what not.
i like the 707 a bit more. MIDI, more sounds, syncs DINs to MIDI stuff, nice LCD screen.
whats wrong w/ the Linns and 808? i can't look down on a machine cause 2nd handers have jacked up the price. its still fun stuff course expensive Euro sports cars are to.
