outlook express slow?

hey people
are there any knowledgeable people when it comes to
microsofr related problems?
my outlook express is playing tricks on me, for the last
month its working extremely slow, it takes couple of minutes
to start, and its downloading one email per 5 minutes
approximately
first i thought its my pop server, but its not, since every
option i click takes a minute or so to open (ie "new
contact)

i read something on microsoft website, saying "Pstores.exe
file and associated .dll files may be corrupted" and
offering solution, playing with registry and this and that,
but it looks too dodgy to play with it

anyone had the same problem?

please..

I thought I was looking at my intranet message board for a
sec!

AV software can effect the speeds of your e-mail

I was going to say what pOgO expertly said. NAV plays havoc
with my email download speed.

You coud always stop using Outlook Express and switch to
Thunderbird which it pretty good.

why are you using outlook express.

i don't want to hear the answer, that's just a question you
should ask yourself immediately before removing that
terrible, bug-ridden, virus-propagating piece of crud from
your harddrive.

oh wait, you probably can't, hasn't xp precautions to
prevent it? brilliant.
