Think about it, first you have us screw balls.
Then you have these eyes up top just watching you. Waiting for an exact moment to strike when you least expect it.
I vote that the eyes should shoot lasers somehow.

why do i feel the need to stay up late all the friggin time?
nothing is happening on the internet. i'm too hungover/drunk to focus on playing metroid. i'm pretty tired. nobody is doing anything tonight. and, sleep is pretty awesome.
but, i just can't force myself to go to sleep at 10:20 on a saturday.
that's dumb.

it's so hard for me to finish reading an entire book.
it's the same with videogames (and everything i supose). i usually read 3/4 of a book and then lose interest (even if i really like the book). it's frustrating.
in order for me to finish a book i almost have to force myself to read it in a day or two, or it just never gets done.
.. as an interesting aside, i do have a totally amazing book called the art of looking sideways that i recomend to everyone here. every page is designed differently and features it's own stand alone content. so, you can flip to any page in the book, read it, and close the book and you don't miss anything. and, yet somehow the book comes together as a complete work. it's great. and VERY worth the price. the book is nearly 4 inches thick.

heh. I had a period recently when I wouldn't finish things, and I'm trying to squelch that. It started because I would force myself to finish awful things =)
These days I just use a huge number of filters before deciding to put up with something; if I leave music on my hard drive (or purchase it) I've already seen commentary, asked people I trust, scanned samples. With books I look over lots of lists, try to extrapolate based on my tastes..
bah I'm talking out of my ass, I'm sure you do this too (duh). If you like science fiction I recommend Iain M. Banks's Culture novels.
Funnily enough, I have such a great dread of starting something and it sucking, that I actually start many fewer things than I used to =) This dread is practically physical.

when it comes to music i usually find a few artists i like and listen to them for weeks at a time.
i suppose i'm pretty fucking boring that way.
it's not unheard of for a cd to stay in my car stereo for two months straight.

oh I definitely get stuck in phases, and become a ridiculous advocate of whatever it is during that interval. Makes life quite fun. Mine don't really last a month (though I've listened to piezo daily for probably a month, and no other autechre in many), but still then they disappear and it's really nice to run into them again, not just because they are fresh but all this weird nostalgia comes back.
I almost wish I was forced to listen through whole albums though, it's pretty miserable with this huge automatically seekable hard drive, I can get anything I want any time. Really makes my collection feel teeny and, well, boring.
now I tell you, I'M the boring one.

[totally uninteresting personal info]
when i was like 16 or 17 i had a jeep cj7. actually, i still have it..
anyway, it had a tape deck, and the single for beck: loser stayed in that tape deck for months and months. it was only two (or maybe three) songs long, but for some odd reason i didn't get bored of it.
my first serious girlfriend tore that cassette up on our first date. i'm pretty sure that was foreshadowing.

hahaha.
you ever listened to old scene (demoscene) music? Chiptunes, tracker shit, and the like?
Anyway, these were pretty neat music formats. I guess you can relate it to midi, in that it specified where notes fall in time and you passed it to some interpreting software (or hardware!) which generates actual sound from it (unlike waveform approximating files).. anyway this relation is dim because it has so many features regarding what you can do, and also the samples are included in the file so it's not like a different instrument bank gives different music (though yeah don't worry, I know that's part of the point of midi).
ANYWAY. one feature is loops you could specify. I have this one track that I could loop like 20x.. of course not much.. aw shit now I want to punch myself.
Funny thing is I could show it to people and it would take like 18x to realize it had looped..
