I am currently playing the Korean beta which is absolutely
free, but difficult to register for - it requires a valid
Korean social service number and its associated name. You
can find these through a bit of sly google searching though.

I am playing this again.
Because the expansion came out.
3-8 hours a day.
I keep telling myself
"you're not gonna play tonight!"
"you're going to go out and say what's up to your friends"
*30 minutes later*
I'm pounding my fist agaisnt my desk because it's now the
34th consecutive Sunfury Centurion I've killed without an
Arcane Tome dropping! FUCK THIS GAME SOMETIMES.

Yeah. Thats one of the two things that annoy me about this
game. The other being those times when you need to get from
point a to point b to finish a simple quest. But in between
you and that goal are about 500 spiders that take about 30
seconds each to finish off and are just close enough to
eachother that if you don't play your cards right end up
forcing you to fight 8 spiders at a time that are all the
same level as you.

However, I have managed to cut my play time down to about
three hours a night because of my new synthesizer.

i wish i had a computer powerful enough to play it... though
it's not actually a problem : my brother does, so i kind of
share an account with him (i have a few characters on his
account). it's against blizzard's policy but it's not like
they could prove we're doing it anyway... i think. we also
share the monthly fee (i'm not sure i would be ready to pay
the full monthly fee, i find it quite expensive).

i've been playing from time to time when he's away, since
late 2005; i have a few different characters (night elf
hunter, tauren shaman and mage draeneï). i really like the
game, the universe is quite captivating; i'm not interested
in being maximum level with the best equipment and playing
10 hours a day though. the problem is that everyone else
does (or so it seems).

I wonder if there are "normal" people who play wow.
lI mean, people who can play wow and have a normal life next
to it. everyone I know who plays it has kinda ruined their
social life.
some guy I know even stopped going to school because of it.
gets up and plays wow all day. very sad.

glad I never played it. I might get addicted to if the game
came out like 5 years ago. but now it looks a bit boring.
level up level up level up level up level up level up level
up. then what? level up level up level up .... I think the
southpark episode of wow is really funny.

I was the infamous Theurgist that campaigned to give threat
reduction, more stealth options, and better attacks to feral
Druids. And so, blizzard rewrote all the modifiers for
druids.

Me 1
Blizzard 0

LAZY_TITLE

I tanked every boss all the way to BWL with my druid, then
decided I needed my life back.

When I played there was alot of opposition to feral tanks,
even in my own guild. But after some proving myself in a
handful of situation, I tanked everything from Onyxia to
Ragnaros, and even Razorgore. :)

Good times.

I miss playing, but not enough to give up my social life.
End-game is End-life.

I don't understand the appeal at all, I haven't played an
RPG since Zelda on the Gameboy 15 years ago. So some little
guy on the screen gets a new sword or whatever, so what?

"I wonder if there are "normal" people who play
wow."

> yes, of course there are. but when you play occasionally
like i do:
• everyone seems to level up ten times quicker than you
do; so you tend to have no "fixed" in-game
partners/friends/companions.
• the monthlee fee seems very expensive.
• you may have difficulty finding the time to accomplish
quests in some dungeons (as it always takes several hours in
a row). and "high level" dungeons really seem reserved to
the "hardcore" players; apparently you have to have a team
of 40, headsets, some training, powerful equipment etc, you
must be in a guild that may require you to be present some
fixed evenings in the week etc.
