A guy from the GTA Forums says he found a camera in the
woods. I'll let him tell the story:

''Last week I drove to a nearby town. The town is
surrounded by tall hills and mountains, and you can have a
very pleasant hike down any of the numerous trails there.
Anyway, I was climbing one trail and enjoying the good
weather when I saw what looked like a silver box. When I
approached, I saw it was a digital camera!

It's a 3.3 mpixel Powershot S20! Slightly scuffed, but
otherwise fine. It rained the next day, so I was really
lucky to get there when I did. When I got home, I also saw
it had a 300 mb hard drive inside! This must be like a £250
value folks, I pity the fool who dropped it so carelessly.
Anyway, just wanted to share. It also had some nice pictures
on it, and I'm putting those up in this thread, hence the
56k warning. Not sure why some of them are blurred... I
don't have enough webspace free right now, so I resized
these and compressed them so I don't put a strain on
imageshack.

Here they are, he got them linked elsewhere

Now, whether or not these are fake (surely some of them HAVE
to be.... r-right?), I did get a kick out of looking through
them. Some creepy images, some magnificently eerie
environments, and some neat pics.

The fog gets thicker as the series goes on. In one of the
shots on the big staircase, you can't even see the ground
when they look down. Nice. Oppressive.

And of course, the various monsters, murderers, monkeys and
glowing eyes.

Anyway, don't be too cynical and sceptical, just have a look
through and use your imagination. Whatever that building is,
I want it.

Very very creepy....I got the chills just looking at
them....yes it's only 11F here, but those pics make it feel
even colder. And that pic you posted....WTF is that in the
mirror!?

This creepy stuff reminds me of when I visisted
here. Yeah, this place is actually quite famous
when it comes to "haunted" places, but the creepiest
pictures are that of just the building outside.

Cool, I'm really into that stuff, those old buildings and
crazyhouses and tunnels and doodads. I'll bookmark that and
take a look tomorrow/today.

Collection of creepy locations

Industrial locations

Urban Exploration Ring. This database has a metric ton of quality
photography of this ilk. I spent hours digging through here
a while ago.

And of course I'm always peeking through Deviantart's art
photography section. An addiction.

that would be a great idea for a horror movie, guy walks in
the forrest in the evening, finds a camera full of creepy
pictures and suddenly strange things starts happening!
kinda like the ring!

hmm.. I don't really want to come off as the smart-ass
knowitall that distrusts things, but this is no different
from a horror movie... it's a story and a scary imagery.
Now, I can't really contest the realness of the images, nor
do I know if the guy made everything up, or if he really
found the camera with the images... so...

hmm... that building area looks a lot like this old
bunker-complex in the woods up on a mountain here in Bergen
(Fløyen).. it's often foggy there too for some reason...
weird places...

I can't look at this stuff, it absolutely freaks me out...
ghost pictures and stories all that creep me to the bone. My
girlfriend makes fun of me because of this :|

Have any of you read 'House Of Leaves'? That book had me
scared to sleep for weeks.

anytime ;)

man everytime i read about 'supernatural' phenomenons or
anything that has anything to do with creep stuff like this
i am constantly on edge thinking something will jump out in
the screen. see the paranoia those lame vids created. that'd
be so fucked if they made like a virus where something pops
up randomly.. but a few days after so you have no idea.

offline epohs from )C: on 2004-12-22 09:26 [#01433703]

supernatural stuff doesn't scare me too much, simply because
i believe in it less and less as i get older.

if i'm in the woods and it's dark i'm quite a bit more
scared of a person hitting me over the head and stealing my
shit, than i am of a ghost poping in from some other
dimention and eating my soul.

in 26 years of really wanting to see some supernatural
occurances i've never seen a single thing, or known anyone
that's seen something they were convinced was supernatural.

it's too big of a leap of faith for me to believe in that
stuff. although, i don't completely discount it either.

i should say known anyone that i truly trust that's
seen anything supernatural.

i mean, plenty of my friends have seen/experienced shit that
they couldn't exactly explain, including myself... but, i
don't think it'd be prudent to assume, as the most likely
scenerio, that those things were metaphysical.

creeped me out. i doubt they are real though (the creepy
ones). and that the guy actually found the camera.

To be honest i found these pictures to be neat. I dont think
that they are scary but they are kind of desolate. I like
that tower one.

Also i agree with shope, i would be more afraid of getting
jumped.
