It has no name, no conventional name that is, however "Stone
in Focus" refers to the image that visually represents the
track on the sleeve of the album, which, one is led to
belive, depicts a stone.... in focus.

It`s from I Care Because You Do. Don`t listen to anyone
else. They are full of glue.

It's proper title is, of course, "Outside (Kick Ass Violin
Solo)"

This song is very special to me. It was the first Aphex Song
I heard. Downloaded it by accident from Napster, didn’t
know who or what Aphex Twin was at the time. I was well into
ambient at the time.

Anyone notice the distortion in this track? On the pad
sound? I wonder if its intentional.

ahhh SAW2, what a bloody great album. I wonder if richard is
capable of topping it with a SAW3?

I could do with some Ambient recommendations as it happens.
Shoot!

I would sugest "tycho" as a nice recent ambient discoverie.
Seems like a dirty word to some on this mb though, lol

I like the classics...

Flying High - Irresistible Force (1993)
Chill Out - KLF (1990)
Orbus Terrarum - The Orb (1995)
76:14 - Global Communication
Lifeforms - Future Sound of London
Ambient 1: Music for Airports - Brian Eno

I like Biosphere too
Basically I'm looking for something very much in the style
of vietrmx21 and stone in focus

yes i'm fucking with you
i can hear it quite well, as in nearly all of his tracks
before rdj lp,
i think he played a lot with tape saturation and distortion
on the whole tracks to give them warmth and compression +
added harmonics
it is quite clear on the louder passages where you can hear
the sounds distorting slightly and intermodulating each
other briefly

anyway it is a great piece of music which never fail to lay
it's mood on you ,melodic aphex at it's best :)
