yeah, it is okay, indeed not much more.

Jack Nicholson is pretty great in it, though.

I've seen it plenty of times, most people have, but I had no
idea how much of it was just... made up. Take forr example
the bit arround the firre when one of them says that the
smoke is in his eyes (orr something) and one of the otherrs
says 'But I've noticed you'rre not moving' and they all
laugh. That's because if he moved he's be out of shot and
it's totally unplanned.

I love the part where they gun down the hippies. I'm as
anti-establishment as they come, but I can't stomach
hippies.

Other than that part the movie has very few redeeming
qualities.

i never really know what to make of the film, the stark
ending is good but the drug scenes always seemed a bit
gratuitus

3/5

It's alright, although the acid scene is one of the most
unintentionally hilarious pieces of film i've ever seen and
the ending feels like they ran out of money and had to wrap
it up in 3 minutes flat.

respect for it being a first of its kind movie. it has its
moments. its not really my kind of movie but whatever.

the beginning of the movie thought is probably the best
introduction to the song "Born to be Wild" that i've ever
seen. you really appreciate that song when you see it where
it belongs.

good flick, sitting back, watching easy rider and smokin a
fatty with some buds is a very natural feeling. the ended i
think is good, it illustrates how..... aw fuck it, im too
tired to explain it right now. good movie tho.

i really like how hopper and fonda are considered hippies,,,
far from it, they were on the outside even of the hippie
culture, sure association can be fatal, but rather, they use
the nature of the true outsider not just belonging to a
counter-culture movement to narate the nature of man
inability to belong or accept awareness.

I heard that when it came to tunes for the film they just
had a look through their records for music to use.
Apparently when they approached Steppenwolf regarding the
use of his music he couldn't be happier and didn't care
about royalties/legal issues. Ahh the good old days,
