i've seen them live once or twice - they are very loud.
basically, they have one guy playing the beats on a laptop
while another does some cool stuff with effects and his
turntable. lots of noisy stuff happening. and then there's
the other guy rapping. they have good stage presence. if
you like dalek, it's probably great to see them live.

I hear the show is extremely noisy, abrasive, and loud. I'd
really like to see them.

not since the Sylvester McCoy-doctor. they had little
boosters to get up the stairs.

people were writing in to "points of view" at the time,
saying this new detail scared them shitless.

ok, this was a forgetable one. kinda boring, every song
sounded much alike - except for the lyrics, which i couldn't
understand 50% of anyway...i have one of their albums and i
wasn't too impressed by it, but i haven't heard their latest
one which was supposed to be good. i only went coz a friend
invited me, and she probably hated the gig even more than i
did - too loud and noisy, although she likes some songs from
their latest album. i wish it was more abstract and a bit
less loud coz it would probably sound better...ah well..

sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience. when
i saw them, the vocals were quite buried in the mix - they
were very difficult to make out.

i haven't been to a gig in a while, so it was better than
nothing i guess :) the guy on turntables seemed to scratch
quite bit, although the noise was sou loud the scratching
got lost in it...not sure if that was intentional or not,
but it made every song sound alike, quite different to stuff
they put on records..

yeah, i thought all the songs sounded pretty much the
same... i'm not a fan, so i couldn't comment on their
records. when i saw them play, i thought it was
interesting, but i wasn't into it.

he has a lot of effects that the records go through, so i'm
not surprised that it didn't sound like scratching...

what surprised me quite a bit is the amount of people that
showed up...i had no idea they were so popular, and usually
alternative artists don't get this much people to come. i
guess they're pretty big, or maybe hip hop is way more
appreciated around here than electronic music...ahh..the
people..
