...I have the possibility to mark my reords "for sale". Is
this a new feature, or is it just me going senile?

it's been there since the recordbag function was first
added, it doesn't have any effect yet because it wasn't
finished.

I wonder what will happen to the dicography. I find 127
labels listed at the time. If the labels release 5 records a
year, thats over 600 a year. About two releases each day to
add, and scan artwork from. Ambitious stuff.

however, there are hundreds of artists in the discogs that
have never even made a proper release according to the
discog itself...

I think phob should clean out the shit and try to rebuild a
better discography with more additions of new artists!

the thing that bothers me a bit is there are same releases
on various labels, so if i'd want to complete my recordbag
it would take me ages to do it properly...

THE DISCOGRAPHY IS A FUDGING DISGRACE!

The discography/records listed on xlt should be wiki-like;
maintained by anybody with an account, and history kept for
each item modified/added/deleted.

This board runs on trust anyway (I mean, shit, the fun you
could have with cross scripting and html trickery), so it'd
work out allright.

I was against the wiki concept at first, but considering
more people are half decent and only a small percentage are
utter wankers, it's rather self moderating.

When I got my premi account, I used about 3 hrs going
through warp/rephlex/skam catalouges and added like hell.
Then I checked sometime later on and did a check-up to
verify what i had. Infact I got this funny reply
from Phobia regarding it. :D

I've said it before and i'll say it again.

We should be allowed to add things to the discography but
they won't appear until they've been verified, or whatever
you want to call it. Much like discogs.com.
Even limiting it to those members who've got Premiuim
accounts would be a start. At least then people could add
something and the discog would get finished a lot quicker.
There's only a few people working on it and they only have
so much time.

i would rather like to have my own records listed, and
available to download ( or linked, that was promised some
months ago, xlt space for artists )
