Exciter just isn't very exciting which is its problem
really, its just too dull. You should get the 'The Singles
86>98' compiation.

Some Great Reward and Black Celebration. Reward has three of
my favorite D-Mode tracks (Lie to Me, Something to Do,
Blasphemous Rumors), and Celebration has Question of Lust.
Two sweet, sleek, dark purple albums.

you are a bunch of crazy guys
EXCITER is their best, you can trust me pf ; "dream on" is
one on the best produced pop songs ever ; the whole album is
produced brilliantly by Mark Bell (LFO) ; there is no bad
track on it, every melody is nice ; there are some killer
tracks (at least 3)

nevertheless I'm gonna play it now to be sure

(put CD in player)

1) dream on : awesome production, oh it's awesome awesome,
so good to hear the singer's voice again
2) nice production, nice melody, nothing more to say, it's
great
3) same thing, it's really nice
4) very relaxing, good melody as well
5) beginning by a impressive sound (noisy) then noisy parts
all the time, it's the track i like the least but it's nice
though ! really nice
6) interlude (nice one)
7) pffffff... killer track, sounding like ep7 sometimes,
nice lyrics... well this track justifies to buy the album
man !
8) ohoh killer track as well !!! very moody
9) arghfhfbrjhbrfe KILLER TRACK !!! move yur body on it man
!!! nice production !!
10) nice track =)
11) interlude (nice !)
12) slow track, nice chorus =p, funny sounds
13) slower track, nice just before going to bed
THAT WAS REALLY GOOD !!!

Well the whole album reminds me of a nice period of my
style, each time i listen to it i think i'm back in the past
: that's another reason why i love it =)
Nevertheless you've gotta like pop music to enjoy this
album.

love dm - counterfeit by martin gore is great - avoid the
second counterfeit tho ... way below par that release
the best thing i remember about exciter was dream on

Despite being one ofmy favorite bands, Depeche Mode can
actually be quite hit or miss.. Music for the Masses is
proof of this. The first few tracks are amazing..
Strangelove is one of their greatest tracks ever.. but the
rest of the album, to me, is wretched.

Even though I tend to like more straightforward, synthy
stuff, I'd go with Songs of Faith and Devotion and/or
Ultra.. these are two of the later albums ('93 and '97
respectively) but they are both very good.

you know I have been waiting for a DM topic to come up
lately....

I was listening to ONE NIGHT IN PARIS the other night...and
compared to say 101, it sounds like HELL> Dave sounds old
and dreary...

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE this group. I just wanted to make
that observation and see if anyone agrees:)

i REALLY love violator; definitely their best work imo.
also, songs of faith and devotion, ultra, and music for the
masses have some rocking tunes (but there are a bunch of
skippers as well). exciter was pretty crappy though, i
thought. i liked the single, but that was the only track i
cared for.

he could before.

oh, well , yes : dave woke up and decided to contribute.

opinion. It's a shame but that's it. I'll still love my
