there was a period when i almost exclusivly listened only
this type of music :)
bands like; thievery corporation, air, morcheeba, kruder and
dorfmeister, zero 7, fila brazillia,...i kind of lost touch
with it, but today i've heard some of these songs in a nice
film and it made me a bit nostalgic i guess...are there any
new bands in this genre that i should check?

i have all of his albums..one of my favourite producers i
think :)
if you want a nice retro compilation, get his 'another late
night' album...almost as good as the fila brazillia one.

jivverdicker, what did i do now? can i make it better?

this stuff is very nice in a
having-a-drink-at-some-hip-bar-in-hollywood kind of way.
you know, where you're kinda bored with the people, so you
pretend you're in a commercial, surrounded by beautiful
people.

Global Goon is not something I'd call cheesy. Playful and
childlike, yes - as a matter of fact he's pretty much the
only musician I like at the moment that can do a good
childlike thing where it's actually fun like kids playing. I
have heard more than enough of the wistful nostalgic
bittersweet childlike stuff like cheap cheesy imitation
Boards of Canada dreck.
