fantastic film once again!!!
from melancholy to comedy, and all of this in at most
minimalistic way possible.
all the scenes are fantastic so it's tough to pick the best
one..but perhaps the one with GZA, RZA and bill murray was
my favourite one..also the one with jack & meg white..then
the one with iggy pop and tom waits..
he really knows how to pick the right people..not to talk
about music! ohh

im getting this one on dvd for sure..although everyone
should see it in a cinema at least once :)

This is the one that has Bill Murray in it at some point,
isn't it? I hope it comes out on DVD here because I don't
think it had a cinema release over here :@

Yes I really enjoyed it to and the Rza Gza and Bill Murray
section made me laugh, it's a bit surreal but very funny.

it's just one of those films (well they all are) where the
effect is much better if you see it in a cinema..because of
the way it is filmed..and it's in black and white, so it's a
reminder of what cinema used to be i guess. (pantalaimon
says they're going to show it in the cinema downthere, so
maybe you'll get lucky).

ecnadniarb, it's enough for bill murray just to
appear..especially with guys like gza and rza :)

and i want to get this soundtrack!!

know his stuff ?

Nah they talk about coffee and cigarettes and Rza and Gza
must say Bill Murray about 20 times each in five minutes.

lots of them want to be in his movies. too bad he's not more
productive though..

i thought it was pretty boring for the most part, really.
especially the "twins" one, or whatever, with steve
buscemi.

but i did really enjoy the cate blanchett one, as
well as the final sequence with william rice and taylor
mead. that was pretty funny.

there wasn't any plot..i doubt there was a scenario..it's
just one of those films where you must find the beauty in
other things. if you don't, i guess it can get a bit boring.
i know i could easily watch it 5 times in a row :)

well, as I saw the movie today... I was at the cinema with
this girl I like... and suddenly I see the part with iggy
and tom and I started laughing cos I remembered about this
thread... and I had never understood why you compared
them... and this girl was like "what are u laughing at
nacho?"

and it was so hard to explain to her

and now I wanted to find it to post this so I searched down
through your posts

what did your friend think about it? the place was sold out
here - they were showing it 3 times and all shows were sold
out..but it got real different reviews...some people left
during the film, dunno what they expected...people are
weird.

some of the scenes are great, some less so.

I really liked the iggy pop/tom waits one ("you can call me
iggy" "okay, Jim"), the once called "Renée" (which most
people seem to hate - for some reason, when you have the
overhead shot that shows she's reading an arms magazine made
me laugh really loudly), the Cate Blanchett bit too, the
molina/coogan bit.

I really hated the bit with the one guy asking the other why
he wouldn't talk about his problems. it went nowhere, wasn't
funny, wasn't interesting. it just ground the film to a
complete halt.

the jack/meg bit was okay, their acting was pretty shit. the
title of their bit was very funny, though.

and I have to agree with just about everyone - the last
piece was great too.

overall, a nice film.

yeah, the one with the two french black dudes was not
good...it could be easily left out. and perhaps he could put
in one with john lurie instead.
