Ok... so what do you think will happen if Bush wins?

The country is so divided and passionate on the issue of who
should be president... do you think if kerry looses, that
people will just accept the fate of the election... or
what?

I think people will accept it. Sadly the vast majority of
the populance in most western countries are fantastically
apathetic.

people will bitch horribly for a month or two, then as
attention spans reach their maximum limit the reactions will
fade into general distaste for the authority figures and
apathy.

I think that if Bush wins there will probably be another
large terrorist attack. Kerry does not seem to have a hidden
agenda regarding foreign policy and would not have the
reaction that a Bush win would have globaly.

I can't say for sure what will happen if Bush wins, but
whatever does happen, for 99% of people it won't be good.

I dunno. I think it's funny that seemingly EVERYONE on the
internet is against Bush, yet any popular polls don't
reflect that feeling at all. I don't know too much about the
dynamics of the American society, since I don't live there,
but that tells me that young people are informed enough to
know he's a bit wonky, and older people are stupid and
ugly.

I'm going to come out and say it now... if Bush wins, I'm
really looking forward to the online fallout. Much weeping
and gnashing of teeth. I know it's callous and I feel bad.

it does seem like a lot of people on the internet are
against bush. mainly because it's younger people.

bush seems more popular with older people.

lately i've been seeing things about how accurate election
polls are and 'polling the pollsters'

it really makes me sad i'm american. it's not important at
all. of course polls aren't accurate unless you are polling
the entire country. and well, that happens on election day.
people should just wait and see.

I'm going to go with the "couple of months of OMG WTF NOT
AGAIN / general apathy while more basic human rights are
gradually eroded" theory. Commonly known as The Shope
Postulate
. Bush might be a total windowlicker, but a
whole government isn't going to be stupid enough to anger
the population into to creating any kind of real upheaval.

People in other countries will die though. Even more of them
i mean.
