in searching for cool music..
what im looking for is harsh beats (dnb, hiphop,
drillnbass,...) with spaced-out sounds/melodies (usually
just one high-pitch sound).
possibly dark sounding...

for example: autechre - parhelic triangle

thanks!

you might like Phoenecia - "brownout" if you're looking for
something like "parhelic triangle".. not completely the
same, but it kind of has that feel.

if you haven't heard any already, try a track called "suite
D256" for example.

i don't know if it quite fits your description (not quite
for the dark thing anyway), but do you know Ken Ishii? he's
done some great techno music, especially the album "Sleeping
Madness"...

thanks...ill get that. i don't think ive heard anything of
that release yet, i only have randa roomet.

datach'i isn't quite what i was thinking, too many sounds
for my liking :)

Get Cex - Destination: Sexy (when slsk comes back)

You know the title seduces you.

ok : )

well... i do know of some dark minimalistic strange stuff
with high-pitched sounds, but none of them have harsh beats
(nor even beats at all usually)...

you could try Kesto by Pan Sonic too, it is dark, weird,
beautiful, can be minimalistic (some of the tracks off CD3)
and can be harsh (the "Mayhem" tracks off CD1 for example).
for some reason it makes me think of elements, stones, wood,
water etc...

anyway i'm going to check out this "Brownout" album as well
since i've heard about it many times but never heard it.

ill get that one as well then :) cheers!

btw, 'te noch rp' by brothomstates is another example of
what im looking for...although i wouldn't mind if the
beats'd be a bit rougher..

"Brownout" comes highly recommended from me, too.

It's real. It's real good.

I dunno, what about... Converter- Exit Ritual? Abstract dark
ambient, somewhat violent and fucked, I made a topic before
but I still like to pimp it when the time is right. And
Xanopticon, really heavy and stuff. And L'Ombre- Medicine
for the Meaningless. Nice beats, and it's chilly.

And I third or fourth or whatever Phoenicia. A lot of good
music in this topic. I guess your description/order totally
kicks ass.

Yeah, it really whoops ass. But it's not nice, it's like...
a big meanie album. L'Ombre is dark too, but not as big of a
meanie.

I want to hear some Datach'i now but I can't find any on
SLSK. I'm impatient, does anyone have any? Or is it spelled
wrong?
